Color/Detail/Whatever
Good read there! IMO being a lure painter......there are no ''secret'' lure patterns. Its all about coinfidence. Alot of times the more detail that I put into a bait, the more coinfidence a customer has in the bait. Then inturn, they fish the bait so much better and are more ''in tune'' with it. Just my opinion

mono or flouro for money minnow????
I throw them around milfoil on guntersville but, they will catch fish around hard cover as well. I have done better just keeping a steady retrieve but, I do keep it between the surface down to about 1.5' under on the retrieve. I throw a gamakatsu weighted superline hook (6/0) with the screwlock......1/4oz. model. I have found that this weight keeps the bait running nice and straight and won't let it plane off when reeling close to the surface. I throw it on a 7'6'' kistler flipping stick with braid. If I was going mono or flouro I would go with 17-20lb test. Hope this helps

crankbait hooks?
The dye can't penetrate the metal. I would think from the factory that the red hooks are anodized.
