  1. Fortrex? Maxxum? Terrova? Powerdrive? A model will help as they have different foot pedals. Also, Minn Kota is very helpful in diagnosing problems. Try giving them a call tomorrow.
  2. I don't see anything wrong with it. Looks good to me! That boat runs on MOJO anyway!
  3. Low light conditions. It silhouettes against the sky better.
  4. Bringing the whole fam damily (wife, 4 kids, AND mother-in-law) to Disney for two weeks. Yeah, I know, I'm a glutton for punishment but I'm out-numbered. Point of post is that I'm gonna need to get away for an early morning fishing excursion and am looking for someone to put me on some of those Florida strain slobs. Week of the 25th is prime time because the family will be whipped and sleeping in late. Love to hear from some of you!
  5. Just as I cannot comprehend how billionaires live, I cannot comprehend catching a 15 pounder. I would not be able to contain my excitement. You think Ike screams? Hah! To get me to that point of excitement, I think ten pounds would be the threshold.
  6. Sounds like something wasn't quite right. When you got the lure dialed in, you'll be unhooking them from the back of the roof of the mouth. Waybe scent was right, and color or action wasn't. Who knows. When that happens, start tweaking one thing at a time and see if that changes the results.
  7. I fish when the wakemakers are not playing. If I want to fish in the middle of the day, I go to an electric only lake.
  8. Could have been bluegills teasing you.
  9. I'm married with four great kids all under the age of ten. I'm never lonely, my kids pick me up when I'm feeling down, sure there is drama, but it's easily worth it. It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Period. You think you are a mature man now, kids create in you a man you never thought you could become if you have your heart in it and commit to raising those children the best you know how. It's a TIME commitment. Its a time INVESTMENT. If you aren't ready to commit the time to spend with your kids until they're grown, leave the child rearing to someone else. It's an investment that will pay lifelong dividends if you put in the time. It's true...nothing worthwhile is easy.
  10. What I'm wondering is if 00mod just exercised his new mod powers and made the name change for Mike. If so, then great job Jeff! Way to take the initiative! FULL SERVICE right there boy!
  11. Welll nowww... Look who just got his big boy pants! Woohoo big mister moddymodd! At least you're not wearing a Georgia hat! Congrats man! You. Me. My boat. Pickwick 2013. "No" is not an option.
  12. You did it to yourself when you wrote out that name tag. I don't think this one will go away. It's too good.

I Carolina rig it and drag it slowly through deep structure in summer, and drag it anywhere else the rest of the year! I dip the tail in chartreuse JJ's Magic post-spawn and while the bluegills are spawning. Awesome bait! Especially in pressured waters.
  14. I use a short piece of 2" PVC placed over the bearing cup to tap them on. Bearing buddies might require a slightly different size. This will prevent you from denting them while beating them on.
  15. Slonezp has the right idea. The manufacturers specs are the only way to be sure. FWIW, this is for a 30lb thrust motor... http://answers.basspro.com/answers/2010/product/98206/bass-pro-shops-bass-pro-shops-prowler-t30-30-trolling-motor-questions-answers/questions.htm?sort=answers&dir=asc Bass Pro will email you the owners manual if you need one. Edit: Wayne brings up a good point. It has a lot to do with the wire size in your boat too. Owners manual should help you out with than too.
  16. I'm a lineman at a utility company. I'm only afraid of two things, heights and high voltage!
  17. Raccoon feces contains a very deadly parasite! Never mess with raccoon dung! http://www.raccoonfacts.net/raccoon_droppings/raccoon_droppings.html It nearly killed a little boy in Michigan when the parasite got into his brain.
  18. When we build a new house, there WILL BE a man cave. Think of Bruce Wayne's secret BatCave with all the toys and security. That's the model I'm shooting for. Even if I only make it half as cool, it'll still be awesome.
  19. You're already hooked my friend. You've got the fever. I suggest reading this forum about how to catch bass. There's a ton of great info here for beginners...start here... http://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/ Read everything. Then go through the rest of the articles in the articles section. It will take you a long time, but learning this takes a long time. You're gonna go out and catch nothing, many times, before it all starts to click and you see some quality results. You need experience. Thats the best teacher. Most importantly...have fun! Oh, and if you're really lucky, your wife will take an interest in it and you can do this together!
  20. Looks like it is a go for me! At least in principle anyway. There's a lot of ups and downs between now and next May. I'm on a mission to go. We'll see!
  21. Dish and Direct both suck. I got mad at them for the same thing. Dish took my Outdoor channel away unannounced. I changed to Direct TV ASAP only to have them do the same thing to me 2 years later. I'm still angry about that one. They wanted $5.00/month to add it back! I can't understand how they can just sign you up and give you a package, then remove channels and tell you that you have to pay more for them! RIPOFF!! Rant over.
  22. Although I do use fluoro, my preference is braid for the sensitivity and no-stretch hooksets. In clear water I use a short fluoro leader. I use a Dobyn's DX795 FLIP, Revo STX, 50 # braid for heavier jigs over 1/2 oz.. 1/2 oz. and under I use a Dobyn's DX 743c, Shimano ch50mg, and 15# fluoro.
  23. You found their Walmart. That spot in the lake that has everything they need.
