  1. Weedless Witch. It was the original stick bait.
  2. I wish I could meet Roland Martin. I would ask for a refund on my helicopter lure.
  3. Baby Brush Hog and Pit Boss are two must have baits. The Rage Space Monkey under certain conditions can be really good. Options are endless
  4. I just spooled one of my Soros 3000's with 15 Power Pro Slick. This will be my first experience with it. I like the diameter. It will get a fair test. We'll see. I went with #50 on one bait caster for fishing plastics in heavy vegetation or skipping/pitchin docks. Evidence demands a verdict.
  5. I would hate to see you do a review on a power assist toilet seat. That is some serious detail.
  6. I have never eaten grits. It is probably one of life's treasure boxes I will never open. Chicken fried steak with suasage gravy, scambled eggs, home fries and sour dough toast on the other hand runs through my cholesterol filled arteries. Have you ever had mannicotti for breakfast ? Dang that's good.
  7. I have a penchant for new stuff, not more stuff. My problem is, as equipment became better and "newer" my pile grew.
  8. The one thing that is substantiated is there are facebook posts by "some " former sponsored pros who are no longer affiliated with the company. Anything after that would be rumor. You know what rumors do. I'll leave it at that. "Dumped " may have been an inappropriate term
  9. Powell dumped everyone. Loomis is Shimano. Before the sale I had two friends sponsored by Gary. Everyone was dumped without a thank you after the sale. Lots of hard feelings. Tough business.
  10. What an icon. Anyone who can where a hover hat like that deserves some love.
  11. It's amazing how a little morphine effects your judgement. You may be back in the hospital before you know it. Stop pushing the darn plunger boy!!! Four incisions ???? There should only have been three. If you set the metal detector off you'll know why. Glad you are felling better Clayton !
  12. You got the Disneyland injection Clayton. Enjoy the ride. It's legal. Listen to Rhino. He is spot on. They will make three small 1 inch incisions to take that sucker out. It will be like your own Bermuda Triangle on your abdomen. Where did your naval go. It was just here and dissappeared. Let us know how you're feeling when you feel up to it.
  13. Luhr Jensen Speed Trap. Tight wobble, sutble vibration, good in clear water. They excel in cooler water but still work very well in warmer stained waters. You can burn this bait and it will not roll.
  14. I agree with tbone1993. The nice thing about a frog rod is you don't have to go with a high sensitivity blank, just power and tip so I went with the Savvy.
  15. Doug, Is this post about your wife or your choice of movies ? I'll tell you a story and will get killed for it but here it is. A few years ago before DSL my wife picked up the remote receiver on our phone. The two charging contacts were hot enough to kind of burn her palm. I heard her go ouch, look at the receiver and ask me, " is the internet on ? " After 39 years of marriage, I just smile. I love movies, at home. Theater sound systems hurt my ears. Come to think of it so does the bark of my daughter's MIn-Pin. I'd love to choke that thing to death. Sorry.
  16. My buddy works at our locally owned tackle dealer. I asked him about Nanofil. He told me they have gotten back over half the spools they sold. They are not reordering it. That's not a good report at all.
  17. I've said it over and over. In the 129 to 199 price point, there's at least a dozen ( or more ) great reels from Abu through Shimano. It's got to be one of the most competitive segments in fish tackle. If it makes you feel good, fish with it.
  18. Well, I do have a brand new grandson, Ian but he's 3 months old. He'll never hurt for gear. I Have more than enough for loaners and or back up when I fish a tournament. Sick. I've given some combos to friends already. I'm two rods away from being dialed in with my new gear and don't want to go beyond that. Too much stuff is distracting anymore. The only reason I could see to keep it is if my rig got cleaned out in a parking lot on a trip. I have very good insurance though. I guess it's time to start posting it locally first and then on the forum. Good to see you are around Cliff !!!! Thanks for the input.
  19. I'm having a difficult time parting with some gear I replaced over the last couple of years. The issue is, it's decent stuff, Curado 200B's, Pflueger Extremes, and a handful of Revos, Regals, some Mojos, Elite Techs, assorted Lamiglas and it's all like new. Sell or don't sell ?
  20. My local tackle shop has Citica 200G and 201G models marked down to 71.99. That is a heck of deal no matter how you look at it.
  21. Spinnerbait rod on #16 FC. Most are 3/8 but i will throw a 1/2 from time to time. The hooks on chatterbaits are stout and to drive them home I want some power.
  22. You are looking at exactly what I have except my stradic is a 3000. I just spooled it up with Power Pro Slick #15 which is like #6 mono. This is one of my favorite combos.
