  1. Equal treatment of animals. Okay....deep fry everything.
  2. Wait until I Cast offerings become available. It sounds like there will be several new rods in your price range. Run through the Tackle Warehouse V-logs and be amazed.
  3. Look at the Koppers Live Target 64D. This bait has a smaller profile but gets down below 16 feet. I have two and they run true. Very good hooks.
  4. 6 FEET YES S Waver Natural I don't recall.
  5. Thumb for baitcast and forefinger for spinning. Don't limit your options. Some day you will want to skip a bait under trees or docks and say to yourself, " I wish I would have become proficient with my spinning rod. "
  6. I'm a " cop." I do not "protect and serve." I do provide services and assure that I and those officers I supervise, do not work outside of the US Constitution, Washington State Constitution and or Washington State Law. I have worn a badge and carried " a gun " for 22 years and never felt I had any power for doing so. Frankly any cop who isn't wearing their badge and carrying their side arm is stupid. I have no power, only that authority granted to me, with condition, by the State and within the state. My City's Agency has entered into Mutual Aid Agreements by letter with agencies in other jurisdictions within my state. In Washington, you are required to possess a fishing license at age 16 and various additional permits to fish for assorted species. Your Boat must be licensed. When you license a boat and or fish on PUBLIC waters you stipulate to showing a law enforcement officer you are in compliance. I am saddened by the commentary of some and one. Your rights to search and seizure are subject to exemption every day. Each State chooses to broaden or narrow the scope of those rights as legislators and judges provide laws and case law in the interest of their citizens. If you want to challenge " a cop ", go right ahead. Please be sure you are knowledgeable before you do so. The definition of wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge. Be wise, always buy a fishing license and show it upon request.
  7. Some Dobyns, Lews and a few Shimano and Abu. Boat Ballast.
  8. You live right on the Willamette which is some great smallmouth water. From the falls down for 20 miles, find some slow soft water and throw a popper, wacky senko, 5 inch grub on a 1/4 jig head , small spinnerbait and or a Vibrex ( chartreause body ). All will work from shore.
  9. So this explains the delay in your new Rage Spider Craw. Still waiting. This should be a killer Carolina Rig bait Steve.
  10. My wife, Oregon Health Science University Hospital, my Glock 21 and Charmin 2 ply
  11. My set up is consistent with Crestliner. Power Pro Super Slick, the smallest black barrel swivel I can get away with and #8 flouro leader. For those interested, my leaders are about 32 inches long and I pre tie them by the dozen. I run my bait about 8 inches from the weight so it's further from the swivel. So far this has been very effective and line twist is greatly reduced, which is nice. This is one of the few applications where braid seems to have an advantage, seeing I use a swivel regardless.
  12. For me, flouro " feels " better. This may sound odd but braid can provide a false positive if that makes any sense. I hate leaders. I don't break off fish. Punchin is a different animal though.
  13. Did you make up that word on your own Diggy ? Why are the handles on coffee cups all on the left side ?
  14. Swim jigs have a specific set of features. Slender head, thinner weed guard, sometimes a smaller gauge hook and a larger more effective bait keeper. There are a number of trailer options. Query the forum articles. There's a lot of excellent information. What ever trailer you choose, it should have action and vibration and help keep the jig in the upper level of the water column. I like the swim jig Siebert makes and throw it anywhere there is shallow cover. I work it with twitches, quick start and stops and bump cover. The bluegill color with a matching Rage chunk has been good to me.
  15. Puff The Magic Dragon: Peter, Paul and Mary
  16. Wait until you see what's coming from Icast............a crankbait with no hooks called the Electroshok N5. You only have to make one cast and then net the largest five as the come floating up around your cast area. The only problem is you better have a culling beam or culling system. There's only one color offered, copper with a black end.
  17. That's the one Hootie. If I recall, Shimano was the first to come out with a lefty, the Bantam 201. When I worked retail sales, we had a special Thanksgiving ad and had the 201 for 48.88 and I sold 60 the first day. Do you remember when BPS had a catalog that consisted of about 12 to 14 pages and the Batam in your thumbnail was on sale for 39.99 ?
  18. Diawa has made quite a commitment and statement that they want a piece of the market share in the 125 to 200 dollar price spread. I wonder ? Did they shoot themselves in the foot by introducing this series right after pushing the Lexa, which is doing well ? I'm no marketing expert but it seems Diawa is willing to risk potential Zillion buyer drop to the Tatula pr type R and hopefully get multiple sales. Regardless, the competition between companies only benefits the consumer.
  19. My favorite streak...... it's been almost fours years since having a kidney stone. Oh, and I've gone 22 years without getting shot which is nice.
  20. Three and a half years without a warning point.
  21. I used to own two of them. I sold them in 1981 and kick myself everyday for getting rid of them. What did I buy, the new version, BB1N. Still have them. By the way Hootie, when the first Bantams came out for about 48 bucks, I would wear one out per steelhead season but nothing could outcast them. Rosewood grips. They were hot.
  22. Hootie is like a pie, If you look passed the crust there's sweet cherries underneath.
  23. Sorry. I guess the pi** word is not approved. I tried to edit but the system wouldn't let me change it from tick.
