would the 7 foot medium medium be alot different then my loomis 6 foot 6 medium fast? and also could you name brands.

What are the all around best rods for the following two lure selections. A rod for Treble hook lures?(topwater, crankbaits, jerkbaits, rattle traps) A rod for single hook lures?(jigs and spinnerbaits) i would just like to know what is the best rod for each of these applications.

i may try to get out there around 12-2 and ill stay till dark.

well i may run down to the lake saturday then, ill just have to find it since you said i have to go down dirt roads and such once i get to the address you gave me but ill find it. also is the shore pretty open on this lake like not to many trees and such.

o ok, so the shortpump lakes and that neighborhood lake are the same lake. also sunday it may thunderstorm so we will need to check the weather sunday before we meet up.

ya i saw that, today i had a snag and i was shore fishing and the hook came back and got me in the face lol. just a small cut though.

the way i try to catch larger bass is, when i come to an area i start with a crank or spinnerbait. if i am catching a good number of fish on those i will then move to 5" senko or shakeyhead, then if those still are catching average fish i move to the giant 9" worms. it dosnt always work but it does work sometimes.

very nice fish, biggest fight ive ever had was when i hooked into a 7ft shark while fishing for flounder lol.

i used it and it would just shed off the soft plastics the moment they hit the water, so i would have to reapply every cast. jj's is much better.

are you talking about the hook being red or the actualy skirt being red? because ive never seen a red skirted spinnerbait.

ok thanks for the help, but could i use a cheap baitcasting setup for this or do i need something that is pretty sensitive? because this setup i dont believe is that sensitive but its my only setup that is over medium.

ok, should i use 12# fluro for main line? and then 12# fluro for the leader also?
