  1. i thought the same thing but i just pulled the trigger on the eagle because it was on sale, so was the lowrance, but the eagle had better resolution so i got that.
  2. ok, where do you fish these and what type of line and test do you use for the leader. also what line do you use for the main line and could i use this rig on my finese setup?
  3. so do you just like do a tap tap but instead of lifting it with the tap tap retrieve, you keep it on the bottem. or do you just swing the rod to the side and drag it in one big swing? also is a 1 foot leader to short?
  4. I was doing some research on the carolina rig since ive never used it before and every website i goto is saying to use different materials from the other sites. so my question is what is a common weight for the rig for bass fishing, is a glass bead better, should i use tungsten or lead, and what is a good average length of leader line between the swivel and the hook?
  5. i will fish it alot once i finnish redoing my boat. which will be at the end of the month most likly.
  6. ah ok, i only looked at the home page for the north america part of the site. im happy with mine though, i really like maui jim.
  7. well im going to stick with my bulky one and you stick with whichever type you like. i was just saying which i feel is safer.
  8. i have heard alot of bad things about ordering prescription sunglasses online due to they will not be exactly centered for you eyes since they dont measure this most of the time.
  9. i never said anything is wrong with them, i just prefer not to use them. one malfunction of the inflation piece and your done so i stick with the foam(or whatever material they are) life jackets.
  10. from my understanding maui jim does not allow independent companies to make their own lenses. only maui jim can make lenses for there frames.
  11. from pearlvision. these glasses go all the way down to -3.5 prescription. i have -3.75 so i had to get the -3.5, but its not big of a difference. also if your eyes are not the same prescription it is going to most likly cost more. my eyes are both -3.75.
  12. ok dont faint when you hear this, but they were $700.00 before my insurance kicked in, after insurance they were $400.00. the lenses cost around $550.00 and the frames were around $150.00 before insurance.
  13. i honestly would not recommend a inflatable lifejacket. they are usually class 3 life jackets. i will always have one a lightweight class 2 life jacket to be safe. the difference is the class 2 will float more weight and also a class 2 will flip you over if you land face down and are knocked out so you dont drown. just my 2 cents.
  14. could you also send me the name or website of this business?
  15. mine are 3700 also but i may pick up 5 360's this sunday at bass pro for $10.00
  16. id have to say the senko ;D
  17. i hope so also, in about a month i will become a first time boat fishermen and hopefully these will help me see the beds during the spawn.
  18. most stress i have had was when this child jumped into the deep end and began sucking down water, so i went in after them since i was on duty. when i got them to the deck they were knocked out so i went to work on them and finally after about 30 secs they came back and were fine after the ambulance checked them out and let them leave.
  19. Finally got my new Maui Jim prescription sunglasses. i love these glasses because i have horrible vision and they let me have see clear and far. They are the Maui Jim MJ Sport.
  20. id have to go with the 480 by 480. but tell him to look for a unit with 640 by 480. it probably wont cost to much more but it will be a little bit better then both.
  21. im going to get the rod and tackle holder and the storage boxes
  22. make sure you have fuses for this.
  23. i use polymer for everything
  24. since you mentioned the classic, from my understanding a snagged fish only counts if you are not sight fishing. if you are sight fishing then the snagged fish does not count.
  25. It's the law. Be glad he didn't write you a ticket. You didn't have a leg to stand on. I was trying to remember the regulation for that today. If the vessel is over 16' you need a throw, correct? There are very few exceptions. I know of tickets being given to boat owners who's boat was 12'-14'. The Type IV (throwable PFD) must be immediately available (i.e. lying on top of a seat, not stowed in a compartment). This is correct, i currently store mine underneath the console and its an ok place to have it only because most wardens will let you go but some will say its not immidiately available even though it is. also some of the wardens will try and pull stupid stuff on you and either tell you that you have to have it strung to something and this is 100% wrong. if they say this to you just take your ticket and goto court and show them the exact rule to the judge saying that it dosnt. just trying to help from my own experiences.
