Flyers, unless Thomas is incredible. Or Boucher is incredibly bad, which I don't see happening.... The Flyers did just have to play against Miller, so if they can deal with him, I think Thomas is do-able.

My spinnerbait rod is a All Star Platinum 6'6" "spinnerbait" rod. I like it. But since I fish from shore a lot, sometimes I wish I would have gotten a 7'.

With all these castable, mono-like fluorocarbons coming out, would we ever know if a line manufacturer just packaged mono as fluoro? I know that fluoro sinks, and mono floats. But....

I have the Coastal and after one season it has been a great reel.

I was using a white Redfish Magic on a Tenessee Shad North Star swimjig, but any white swimjig should work. I was just slowly reeling the jig back, giving an occasional stop or twitch. I kept it about one and a half feet off bottom.

I was on vacation with my family this winter, fishing Florida. Needless to say I bought some tackle there, one being the Redfish Magic by Strike King. I thought they also looked good for bass. Today I fished at a pond and using a Redfish Magic on a Norths Star swimjig caught around 25 bass, one hog. You might want to consider these, they're incredible.

Using any reel like a winch causes faster wear. The gears on spinning reels and baitcasters aren't all that different.

You should never use the reel as a winch. The rod should fight the fish.

Mine is also a 3000. I use it for both inshore and freshwater fishing. I have it on a Compre 7ft M rod, and it balances perfectly for my grip (three fingers in front of the reel stem, one behind).

Yes I own one, and they're awesome. The only difference I can find between them and the Stradic is that the Stradic moves the spool shaft up and down by a worm gear, and the Saros uses a normal gear.

I wonder why more people don't use original Trilene. I've never had a bad experience with them and they're very cheap and available.

I've had that happen to other reels, too. I just cleaned them and re-greased them. I guess the oil/grease just gets old?

Whoa found out this morning my dad and I are going to the Sabers Flyers game tonight! Its my first ever playoff attending, so I'm needless to say very excited.

Just curious how many others on here will be watching the playoffs. And any predictions? I am a Philly fan, but Buffalo's gonna be hard to beat. I think Vancouver or San Jose will win the cup this year. I honestly don't think any team in the east can compete.

I'm almost out of my Ardent Line Butter. I used it all this summer, really helps memory. Is KVD a better choice? The Line Butter seems a little oily.
