  1. Thanks to all of you guys, last year I found out about Senko worms. I can not thank you enough : ) Well, I'm in Baltimore, and still waiting for out blizzard snow to go away. I have been reading this forum just about every evening, and I've found out about this Fat Ika. I went and bought a bag of them. Just wondering what the best way to rig them is, and how to fish them. Do they fall and wiggle just like a senko, or do I jig them around on the floor? Thanks!
  2. Great question. Being outside is enough for me...but. Setting the hook. I usually curse at the fish when I know I've got him. "Got you you #*(&^$#".
  3. I wear my waders as long as the water is cold. I have a bad leg, so my wading stick is ALWAYS with me. But even if I had two great legs, the stick is the perfect way to find out what you're about to step into. Getting stuck in the much is NOT what you want to be doing.
  4. I could'nt help but post the picture of the only crappie I've ever caught. I did'nt even know what it was when I got it. I thought it was just a GIANT sunny.
  5. Just wondering if anyone has any expierience with this unit. Just got a kayak to go fishing in this year, and I'm looking for something like this. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on it one way or the other. Thanks!!
  6. Oakley is the way to go. You get what you pay for...Don't buy the garbage from Walmart. If you never spend the money, you'll always loose/break them. Amber is the way to go.
  7. I just bought a kayak for fishing in. I got a Predator K111. I am PUMPED and ready for warm water...I live in MD and we are getting blasted with snow. I don't think Spring is ever going to come. Anyone have advice on sonar? I really don't know what I need to spend. Any thoughts would be amazing. And to the guy who is asking about putting on the roof, just get some foam, and strap it to the roof. I put mine up on the roof of my civic, and it's just fine.
  8. In MD, there are no 14 lb bass. A 10 lb'er would make my face melt. That being said, I'd take 100 fish every single time. I got out there for the tug. If what I pull up happens to be a hawg, that's awesome. But for me, it's all about that tug baby. You can't beat that.
  9. I've got a Predetor K111...I will do that. Thanks for the advice/info guys.
  10. Nice!!! Thanks so much. I did'nt know you could just mount it on the floor of the boat. Thanks again.
  11. Forgive my total ignorance, but that's why I'm here. I'm doing a lot of research on sonar, as I just bought a kayak. I'm pretty pumped for the ice to go away so I can get out there. My question is this: I'm reading about "Through-Hull" stuff. Does that mean that you do not attach the transducer to the bottom of the boat? Do you put it in the cockpit with you? That does'nt seem to make sense, unless the sonar waves go through the boat. It also seems that I should be spending around 150-200? Does that sound reasonable? My wife will go nuts if it get's much further north of that. Any info would be amazing. Thanks guys!
  12. I LOVE mepps spinners. I actually hunt squirrels just so I can get their tails and trade them in for lures. I think they're amazing...You can catch anything on a Mepps. I catch slab blue gills, crappie, green and brown bass, and even walleye on them. They're one of my favorites.
  13. Great idea!! 1. That's to fast 2. Just one more... 3. Love the tug.
  14. Push the hook through, use some pliers to flatten the barb, and just pull the hook out. I do it all the time when I gut hook the fish...if I can do it quick enough anyway.
