  1. Nice One! Those are hard to come by up here in New England. Definitely a big one.
  2. Matt, If you read this, I sent a package ful of lures Priority Mail. I used the address you gave me but the package came back to me. I believe they said insufficient address. What's up with that? AL
  3. Matt You have a package on the way! Al
  4. I'm with Vol, Send me your address and I'll send you some stuff. aljoannie@msn.com Al
  5. Did you check with Craig at NECC Boats? 603 - 332 - 5739
  6. Benny Where are you on the North Shore and where do you intend to fish? Thanks AL
  7. Great job on those smallies.I've yet to catch a largie or smallie. Need to find a boat first. Sold the last two boats this yr and last.
  8. Good reel choice in the Smoke. I would recommend a ST Croix (Avid), Falcon (Cara), to name a couple of US made rods. There are so many nice rods even under $100, it's hard to say what to buy. You really need to try them out with a reel on them.
  9. You need to get a permit from the PD but you need to be a resident, I believe. I heard there is good fishing there.
  10. I'm pretty sure Pawtuckaway is open now. I don't think there will be any ice left after Thursday
  11. You don't put accessories on a TM battery. That should stand alone. Accessories like your depthfinders should go on your cranking battery because the motor is fullt grounded and if there is any interference, it would be less than if you put the DF's on the TM battery. Why would they tape the wires together? It has nothing to do with winterizing your boat. Why not ask the people who winterized it?
  12. Nice Smallies! I can't believe we're fishing here in Mass and the water temps are already in the upper 40's low 50's
  13. Many factors in a decision. I'm sure both boats will be similar as a fishing platform. Wider is better but go check out both boats, get up on the decks and see which one you prefer to fish out of. Try to get them out for a ride. Check out the storage and see which you prefer. Back in 07 I bought a new Skeeter. When I was looking for a glass boat my criterias were, a Four stroke, fit in my garage and price. Well, I sold it last year and now I realize there is a lot of more important factors than the three I jsut stated. Take your time and as I been told, buy what YOU want. Good luck AL
  14. Austin, In today's economy borrowing is tough. You will find it difficult to find a bank to lend you money on a boat 10-15 yrs old. I'm sorry to say that but I think you will find this out. Banks and lending institutions lend money based on collateral. Most of them will not do boat loans because they do not want to repossess a boat, therefore the boat will not be the "collateral". I wish you luck and hope I'm wrong.
  15. wow was it small. That whole room that used to be filled with boats was closed off. Still I saw some new reels that I was curious about.
  16. Are these going to be on the South Shore? I'm not familiar with what you guys did last year.
  17. I use Wave Worms besides Yamamoto's. The Wave Worms are now owned by Strike King I believe. You get them at Wally World. The only problem is they don't sink as fast so I use them in shallow water. Another one I get from a small company is called Paul-E -Worms. He may have a web page but he does the shows here in Mass and has a good product.
  18. Beautiful fish, that's definitely a day to remember!
  19. Well, the New Year is here and I'm looking forward for a better year fishing. I didn't get to places I wanted to and didn't fish as much as I wanted to. Hope you all reach your goals this year.
  20. The lead ban is bare jig heads not jigs or spinnerbaits. There is a note on the new regulation for 2012.
  21. I see you put a Lews handle on the XT The XT also matches well with a Dobyns Champion rod
  22. Pflueger Patriarch if you call $199 reasonable. I have 2 of the Gander Mtn X Factor reels that are built by Pure fishing (Abu Garcia) and they are just like the Pflueger. They sell for $149 but Gander Mtn had them on sale a few months ago for $99.
  23. I've handled them twice now and I'm very impressed. I did read reviews on TW that the brakes were a bit fragile and a few guys had problems with them. The reel is very smooth for a high gear ratio reel.
