This is coming from some of the top authorities of bass fishing that I have talked with . YES USE SCENT . The brand you buy is all good as long as its water soluble. It must come off the bait and into the water. So it should be applied often. In cold weather i believe Scent is a MUST.! I also marinate my rubber baits in a zip lock. Greg ><>

Thanks , I also did fish Cajon De Pena ...the only problem is the guide could not speak english. I caught fish but could not get him to stay in one spot. However the guy that lined us up for this trip owns a island on this lake but he did not fish . So he sent us out with his guide. little did I know his guide didn't know much either . He was a hard worker and I did tip him well for his hard work not his fish ability. Aquamipa I also know about but would be a overnight trip from PV. Since I posted I have come across a Canadian that also guides on Pena (part time) The picture i show on my profile is from Cajon De Pena. We caught about 30 fish biggest 5 lbs. I had a old mag. that I found when I came back and found a name of a Bass club in PV but have since lost the mag. Thanks Greg ><>

Lake of the Woods is the best lake in the world. LOL

It should also be noted that June for the most part is spawn time for smallmouth up here. From June to sometimes even in July. Depends how far north u come. Greg ><>

Anyone know of a Bass fisherman in Puerto Vallarta? I was down there a few years ago and went fishing on a lake about an hours drive south from PV, but unfortunately the guides couldn't speak english.
