it's a lake right down the road from my house there is zero fishing pressure and what it does receive it crappie fisherman

got into some decent fish today!! glad i elected to take today off instead of saturday

lol i dont get mad i just cant quit thinking about it......... i think about a hog i panicked and lost it because of my own actions last year and it still bugs me lol

the biggest reason this stings i guess is because i was fishing with a partner and had a net at hands reach...... just was the first hawg of 2010 and i got worked up lol

how long do you guy's beat yourself up over losing a big bass?? well for me it's till i lose another one lol and today was that day..... i was fishing a rattle bait right before sun up this morning and WHAM! this big old girl about took the rod out of my hand! i wear her down get her right to the boat to lip her then she freaks and peels some drag. so i freak myself and try to flip her in real quick and.....well you know the rest! of course i don't know the exact size but 22-24" and somewhere in the 6-8 lb ballpark im sick to my friggin stomach still........

well hit banner today got 10 bass in the boat. a couple decent fish 17-18". got bit off by a muskie and lost a new xr50.... my buddy caught a 28-30ish inch muskie and snapped his rod in half lol. he also caught a keeper walleye on a spinner was a good day! if the wind would have behaved we could have stayed longer and caught a few more im sure!

I guess i should have phrased my question differently, where in the hell y'all fishin this weekend? lol looking to hit springfield one day to pre fish for a tourney next weekend and possibly banner marsh

i use braid for slop fishing with frogs ect. also i will use it when toothy critters are present so i have a little better chance not getting bit off. i also feel backlashes are waaaaaaay fewer and far between. it is also easier to remove backlashes with braid in my opinion. power pro is the ONLY way to go with the braid also!

depends on the situation if its dead and no other boats i tie my line on and back in let it start to float off then hop out and lead it to shore or the dock. if its a busy ramp (one i go to is a 4 lane shared ramp and sometimes super busy) i will leave the winch line attached then get the boat barely lifting then hop in and motor it off the trailer. either way its no more difficult than doing it with a partner it just takes a little longer no biggie!

the biggest one went about 17" on a spinner the rest were smaller all on cranks

got down to sangchris today. not a bad day in all. went to get some slabs but all were short..... ended up with 10 bass in the boat in about 3 hours not too shabby!

he will be 9 in august. he has been fishing since he was 3 though. mainly with grandpa up until last year. grandpa has more patience than me so it worked better in the past lol.

my little boy has finally grew up in the fishing dept. he can sit through and actually fish a 8-10 hour day. he also used a baitcaster for the first time today (birdnested only once) and he caught a bass on it none the less! last year if he didnt catch a fish in like the first 20 mins it was all over with. he would whine and complain about everything and god forbid he lost a fish lol. he actually sat through a cold miserable day yesterday with me with not one single complaint and we got skunked! then today was cold and windy and nothing, not one little whining session! to me this is a major event! now i can actually teach him and he will listen. of course i have always liked taking him fishing BUT NOW I ENJOY IT! i have been waiting for this day to come for a long time. i actually have a little fishing buddy now! couldnt be prouder of the little rug rat!

did everyone die? or is everyone out fishing ? unfortunately i have been working waaaay to much lately and have not been able to hit the water. now i got the weekend off and of course i wake up and it's 27 f-ing degrees...............

typically 8-10 hours here. sometimes less if time is an issue. in the summer i fish before work quite a bit and it cuts it down to about 2.5-3 hours. then i usually take the boat to work and hit the water as soon as i get off again.

i caught a rod and reel combo before, a snake, a rattle bait that my buddy lost at the begining of a fishing trip, a shirt, lots of random stuff lol.... usually get it when diging the bottom with a crank

giving banner a try tomorrow. see if i can get a big girl to bite..... should be slooooow fishing im sure.

i didnt get any of the cards yet atleast. they dont cover any lakes i reguarly fish anyway....... i live in a small area and i fish a private lake and a couple small lakes close to me. i travel maybe a few times a year. the local few i fish have produced 10+ bass and decent numbers so i stay close to home usually

i get to wet the line a bit tomorrow!! i am getting teeth pulled a 2pm so i have the mornming open i am hoping to get some good shots from a spot i know has some drowned trees in 30+ foot of water
