  1. I'll make the same presentations but lures will be "Bigger and Blacker".
  2. Rods: Gander Mountain - Advantage, Competitor and Pro Select lines are what I've been using for the last few years. Great bang for your buck plus the place is less than 10 minutes away from me. Reels: Pflueger, Penn (Again, great bang for your buck) Line: PowerPro, P-Line, Fireline Hardbaits: Rapala, Mann's, Yozuri Softbaits: Yamamoto, Producto Storage: Plano, Flambeau, Rubbermaid Hooks: Gamakatsu
  3. Yeah, I agree, think big. For the record, I've never caught a dink on a Chatter Frog. The smallest was close to 2 lbs. Big fan of big jigs for big bass, as well.
  4. So competitive eaters are athletes? If they do sit-ups or some other exercise that helps them eat faster then yes. Do any of the Elites have a traning regimen that is designed specifically for fishing? ...and I'm not talking about the age old fishing exercise of 12 ounce curls
  5. I think that if you do a specific exercise in order to perform at a higher level during a competition then you are an athlete.
  6. I've always said it's what's inside a man's head rather than what's on top of it that matters. Of course these are words from a man with a receding hairline. Personally, I'll probably look like Riff-Raff from Rocky Horror before I shave my head. I'm also getting creative with my choice of hats. The correct answer to your question is whatever you feel comfortable with or whatever your woman likes best.
  7. I see Mann's sells them and then there's that one on TV (Fishing Snake?). Do you guys know of or recommend some others?
  8. I've had success with UV type products at deeper depths. I have used a spray called Fool-a-Fish in the past and have had proven success with it reef fishing (75+ feet of water). I recently purchased a bottle UV Blast hoping for the same results. In regards to bass fishing, I don't fish deep water most of the time so I don't carry it with me bass fishing.
  9. My goal is to catch my first 10 lb+ bass. Also want to fish some different bodies of water. This may sound sacrilegious but I want to diversify my fishing by mixing in more inshore and surf fishing.
  10. Like this? A few years ago I set up an old 55 gal tank and caught Sunnies and Bass from the pond out back to put in it. Even set up a minnow trap to get them food. The experiment didn't last long because it turned out I had a leak in the tank. Woke up one morning to a very soggy living room carpet. Ended up throwing back the fish. I sometimes wonder if I have caught them since.
  11. Swimsenko in 323 or 021
  12. Whenever I see one legged ducks or Ibis I know there's a gator around.
  13. Taking you for an X-Men fan. Actually, I was thinking about the aurora borealis. I thought it went well with a company name like Northstar. In X-Men lore, Aurora is the twin sister of Northstar.

  16. I'm not goin' fishin' today so I got the Fishin' Blues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpa1TPA5-7Y
  17. 2 words: Bloody Marys.

I memorize the listed diving range and make mental notes when I use them. Most of the time I can tell the diving range by looking at the bill.
