What is the best jig for skipping?

I'm looking to possibly get a new spinning reel here soon. I have heard a little bit about the Lew's Speed Spin spinning reel but not enough. What are the pros and cons of this reel and what other reels should I look at? Looking to spend less than $100. Thanks

I have been throwing a spro frog lately and it won't walk the dog with being submerged. I have squeezed the water out on every cast but it doesnt help it. What could be the problem? I am throwing it on 50 lb braid.

Looking to get this rod but would like to know what everyone thinks about it. I have a Quantum Tour KVD 7' 2" MH that is not working very well for throwing smaller crankbaits like the kvd 1.5 and I want a Medium action rod. I have 3 Lews baitcast and love them but have not tried their rods. Has the Lew Tournament SL Micro Crankbait rod held up and is it a great crankbait rod? Thanks!

Awesome rod. If your going to purchase it from Dick's just make sure you look it over real well. Have found a few at my local Dick's and they have put broken ones back on the stand. I have mine paired up with a Lews Speed spool and I love it.

I have located a lot of schools of bass on my local lakes and I am wanting to get into throwing a flutter spoon. I have one of the sexy spoons by strike king but I am not sure what rod to throw it on. I have a 7'0" MH, 7'2" MH, 7'3" MH, 7'4" H, and a 7'10" MH. Which of these rods would be best to throw the flutter spoon with? Thanks!

So a year ago I was throwing a Norman Thin N in a color they no longer have. I had caught many big bass on this crankbait before but unfortunatley I lost it on a brush pile . Well today I decided that I was going to throw a Norman Thin N in a different color. So I was walking down the bank and I happened to glance down into the algea and I saw this little metallic bait floating in the algea. I thought to myself, wouldnt that be great if it was the bait I lost last year? I reached down and sure enough it was my Thin N I lost a year ago!!! The bad part is that it is covered in dirt and and grime and most of the split rings are rusted and the hooks have fallen off. What can I do to possibly restore this bait back to its original? Any certain cleaner that would do the best job? Also what size hooks should I put back on it? I am attaching a picture of it. Thanks!!!

I have a Quantum Tour Edition 6.4:1 that I use for lipless crankbaits and crankbaits such as the KVD 1.5. I am thinking about selling the reel and getting a slower gear ratio reel but I need some feedback on what to do. Will a slower ratio reel work for lipless or is a 6.4:1 better for lipless and lipped crankbaits? Thanks!
