If you want a very light combo, I recommend the Quantum Smoke. Lightest rod I have ever had!!!

Went to a local fishing store yesterday and got a dissapointing report on Randleman Dam. Nothing was being caught so we decided to go to the closest lake and only caught one flipping. Hopefully it will be better in the Fall and I can go when I have time off from school.

I've been watching a few episodes of the bassmaster elite series, and I've seen KVD, Skeet Reese and Byron Velvick using swimbaits. Of course Skeet Reese and Byron Velvick had the Rago SKT Swimmer swimbaits. I'd like to get a few of the swimbaits that have the treble hook on the bottom, like the ragos, but they're to expensive. Anybody got any swimbaits with the treble hook feature that isn't $15 and $20??

Haha not really, I've been to the lake before in the past year and I have used google Earth to look around for spots and I have found some! I just need a little more help with baits and where fish may be feeding, so I can persuade my dad even more that we should go. I've been on NC Forums but they did'nt really help, I only got one reply, for a whole 2 weeks. Thanks for the post though!

Heading to Randleman Regional Resevoir this weekend and I'm wondering if anyone can give me some tips and which lures to use. I've heard that Carolina rigs have been doing somewhat okay out there but I need a little more information on what's catching them out there. Any tips on lures and places to fish would be very helpful Thanks!!

Really wanting to use my electronics more than I do now and find good ledges and Drop offs. I don't fish water any deeper than 10' but I would really like to start(I know its a little late in the year). Can you post some images of good ledges and drop offs from Downscan or Side Imaging, and explain what the great features are you look for? I know that's alot to ask for, but I dont have the new Depth Finders and Downscan and sidescan graphs. Thanks for any help!

Just come home, get a snack or something, then start almost immediatley on your homework. Once you get it done, you can fish! Just don't rush through it and make simple mistakes on your homework so you can go fishing. Homework and School, are more important than fishing(i hate to think like that at times but they really are). Good luck! Catch them up!

I fish tournaments from 6pm to 10pm every Friday night. I always stop and go in at around 9:15 when it really starts to get dark enough you can't see much, and I also lose faith in trying to catch bass at night. Alot of the guys I fish with stay out until 10 and I am always wondering what their throwing. So what do you throw at night in the dead of summer?? Any help would be great! Thanks!

I've been using 2/0 Gamakatsu Superline EWG Hooks when I worm fish. When I use a 10 inch worm, I always have a problem with beleiving that a bass can get that small hook in a ten inch worm. What hooks do you all use, Straight shank, or wide gap? Sizes? thanks for any help!

I don't have the Tour Grigsby or the Tour Hackney rods, but all the rods I use are Quantum, and I love them. Very sensitive rod! I have the new Smoke rod in 7' 4" for flipping and that is the most sensitive rod I have ever held. Don't forget how light it is!!

A couple of days ago I said last cast and caught a nice 2 pounder on my last cast. so I made a few more casts, and ended up catching 3 in the next 5 casts. it was nice to actually catch one on my last cast for once. maybe it will happen during a tournament soon!

Broke a rod the other day and I need to purchase a new one. The rod I had was a 7' MH and I loved it. Has anyone tried the new Quantum Smoke rod in the 7' MH? or any other advice on other rods is welcomed! Thanks!

What bait would you throw on a rainy cool day after the spawn?

I have the Catalyst in the 20 size, basically the same reel and the Energy. I love the Catalyst and haven't had any problems with it at all, great smooth drag!

cranks on points, jerkbaits around docks, flukes on points. fished there plenty of times, great lake when u can find them. Spinnerbaits around docks have produced in the past. good luck

My friend bought a Vendetta from Midwest, he got it and it was broken in nine different places and they were real bad about getting his money back to him.

Having problem with my lowrance x125. The transducer is seeming to mess up and give me a water temperature reading of 40 some degrees. When you first turn it on the Temperature will read in the 60's and go down very fast. It also want stay on one setting after you turn it off. If anyones had the same problems please give me feedback on what you did to fix it. Thanks!

Headed to shearon harris tomorrow in NC. I know this is a little late, but just trying to get some ideas together to find out how to catch some bass out of the lake. Are they on the spawn still or have they moved to post spawn?

Its the new chrome reel. The screw will come out a short ways and then wont come anymore.
