Recommendations For Fluorocarbon
i heard that the abrasX, in addition to the spinning tackle issue, did not have as superior knot strength as the invisX and carbon pro. this was not for a source that I would hang my hat on, so it i good to see some positive feedback. as for the new tatsu, too much green for my tastebuds. i think there are certain things a line can and cannot do for your. while i dont doubt that the tatsu may be superior in some aspects, i leave myself thinking... is it really necessary?

Recommendations For Fluorocarbon
I agree on the invizX but I have heard bad stories about the abarzX. however, I have yet to try to abrazX myself. call me an old timer but nothing can beat the carbon pro!!

spooling a spinning reel
Hey I just wanted to get some feedback on the different ways/methods, or most efficient ways, of spooling a spinning rod. I have had difficulty in the past with line "jumping" off my spinning reel leaving me with a mess. So before I go and spool my spinning reels for the season I was going to compare so different methods. Thanks!

Spool/ Sesativity Adjustment HELP NEEDED
Come friday when I get the driveway to my garage plowed (we have over 1ft+ of snow here and looking to get another foot tommorrow!!) I will get the reel out of storage to do some further investigation. In the mean time, I did order the new parts (I am so fed up with this reel that I want it done the right way this time). Hopefully, I will get the right cap too because I am about 100% confident that the cap they did send me was not the right one.

Spool/ Sesativity Adjustment HELP NEEDED
Okay.. I will order them again. I have already ordered these parts but last time I did it I ordered directly from quantum representative over the phone. Maybe something went wrong, so I will re-order in hopes of getting the right/all the parts needed to fix this problem. When the parts come in I will keep everyone updated with the end product. Also, what kind of grease should I use for the cushion and the knob. I am a novice when it comes to reel schematics/ repair so I am greatly appreciative of everyones help!! Thanks guys and I will post some pics during the process to provide some insight for future newbie's like myself!

Spool/ Sesativity Adjustment HELP NEEDED
Likewise, even if the knob was incorrect I still cant imagine why i would have no impact on the sensativity at all. What exactly could "fall out" from the knob being removed that would make this unfunctional? I viewed the reel schematics and it looked like I ordered everything that appeared to have been missing!!

Spool/ Sesativity Adjustment HELP NEEDED
Yes sorry I was incredibly short on detail there. Well to sum the situation up, it did not get smashed/broken but rather the sensativity knob was incredibly loose, as i primarily used it to cast weightless worms etc., and after a number of trips in the boat i think the knob got to the point were it nearly felt off. So i picked it up off the deck and made a cast, and the knob and whatever is inside there fell out and into the lake.. As for performance details, the sensativity can no longer be adjusted. Basically, turning the knob does nothing. I want to say that something was wrong with the knob that I ordered as it does not resemble the old knob that was on the road but looks more like the one's on my accurists (which I ordered directly from Quantum). I think there may be a difference in the thread or something because the amount of torque/ or "turn" needed to turn the knob to its "tightest" point is not much. Regardless, no turning has any effect as to its adjustability. Hope this helps!!

Spool/ Sesativity Adjustment HELP NEEDED
To avoid a long and emabarassing story, the spool adjustment knob on my Quantum Mantra (MT500CX) fell of and into the lake (as did the contents laying beneath. This has been over two years ago since it happened and since I have had numerous friends to fix this reel for me. Intially, I ordered parts directly from qunatum (i.e. bearing, a new adjustment knob, etc.) and some other things. However, after adjustment still does not work. I do not want to part with this reel because it was one of my favorites and it didnt have much lake time on it when it first broke. If anyone could provide some insight as to whats going on here please let me know! Thanks!!
