  1. i have gone to my local lake 4 times this week and no luck yet I've used everything from a shaky head,tube, crank bait (lipped and non lipped)i just can not get a hit I'm fishing from shore cause i still have some snow in my yard and unable to get my boat out,the only water i can get to it goes from 2 to 12 feet and has a rocky/grassy bottom.why cant i get them to hit

  3. OK how exactly does a live well work,i hit the button to turn it on i can hear a motor turn on but i felt the aerator part and there is no air push out it
  4. I would say try downsizing your bait and work through those dead lily pads and work them slow
  5. thank you for the link it did help a lot but do you keep the bait on the bottom or is it used to just keep the bait lower in the water column or both and if so in what kind of situation do use each approach
  6. I know theres a lot of threads about this but no one ever answers how long should the line be from the swivel and the hook and what size weight is the ave. to use on it
  7. its has helped me a lot I've been looking at my local lakes on their for a while and it's awesome i even downloaded the 3-D version

I was fishing a local creek on opening day of trout season,i hooked up with a good size sucker and all of a sudden the hook flew out of the fish some how caught me right on top of the head and as the hook stopped my weight kept going sinking it in well past the barb so i cut it off and kept fishing for a while the guy on the creek thought i was crazy but later i got to my mom house and she pulled it out with a pair of needle nose
  9. just wondering what do you guys think of using a split ring for a leader instead of putting the line together, think it would hold up better

  16. yes the Berkley shaky worm does float i tested it just the other day with a jig head and a like 2 gal. bowl of water

  18. Its all in the love of the sport,I've been buying new lures all winter and then i just bought a 15.5 FT. stratus bass boat for $2500 so god only know how much i have spent for this coming season alone,just don't tell your wife ;D

  20. Man just go out and fish,Be happy to be there and just keep switing baits,maybe use some electronics but the most important thing is have some confidence in what your doing and stop worrying about all the scientific stuff
  21. I just love to fish so size don't matter to much as long as i catch some but I'm going to fish the bigger lakes in NY this year so I'm hoping to get at least a 7# but if not that's OK
  22. i would have to say my grandfather,he got my dad into hunting and fishing after he got with my mom,but my mom is the one that taught me how to put a worm on the hook and tie a knot(my dad didn't have patience)but them my day taught me how to use a lure and Ive loved it ever since wen i was younger i would ride my bike 10-20 miles just to go hit the spots (Love you grandpa)i miss you
  23. :-/ :-/sorry man its just been along winter here and we due to get another 15" on snow in the next two days,I'm so bummed i went through some of my new tackle yesterday hooked it to a line,got a huge glass bowl filled it with water and practiced how they would move through the water
