The 1st thing I would do is size down. Small inline spinners like a panther-martin or a beetle spin. Use a lighter jig with a smaller worm, etc. Think about location. Maybe it's the wrong location on that particular day. If that fails, listen to Raul, kick back and have a beer.

Lowrance introduced their Elite 5X DSI at ICAST2010. It's a color unit with down scan imaging for $299. I'm not sure how soon it will be available. I'm looking at it as an upgrade on my small boat. 8-)

When I checked the box "all my life", It didn't really hit home untill today. It's been 60 years! Fishing has always been a part of my life, and I guess I've just taken it for granted. My 3 sons are grown and fishing is a big part of their lives. Wow, I just can't remember when fishing wasn't there.

Tackle Warehouse also has videos( by mfg.) of new products from ICAST 2010. The one that caught my interest was the Lowrance Elite 5X DSI for $299. They will also offer it with GPS.

Awesome job on the build! It's hard to put a price on all the work someone puts into a build. I suggest going to tinboats.net. The guys there are great to talk with and they do builds and sell them all the time.
