Discontinued Lures and lure colors
The Shannon Twin Spinner. I know some of the older guys remember these spinners with the hair body. They made one with a black maribou body that flat out caught fish!

Attractant
You are correct,it was trout and salmon on lake michigan. The point was it didn't matter what brand of attractant. How it relates to other fish species would be just a guess. I feel that masking other scents on lures may be a big part of it.

I was a mate on a friends charter boat for about 5 years back in the 80's. We tried an experiment with different attractants. Half the lures had attractant, the other half did not. We used the same baits and colors during the season. The baits with attractants outfished the ones without 4 to 1. The brand didn't seem to make a difference. You be the judge.

Has anyone used "Slurpies" plastic worms, etc?
The swim shad and swim grub are great for SM & Walleye. Have caught LM on them also.
