  1. I think almost all braid is going to do that
  2. x2000 I had a ton of bass break my hook or just spit it back out, they are garbage in my opinion I love me some Owners and some Gamakatsus
  3. I like throwing mine around shell & Rock beds. I also like to throw it around any structure, I have done better in shallower water (less than 6ft). Just keep at it, it is a deadly technique
  4. agreed. I started to do this now too. The last couple of weeks my whacky worms last 4x as long
  5. I think the 703 looks better

x2 my mom bought one and I got it from here for free
  7. I like them a lot those and my smokin roosters have been producing pretty well for me recently. I agree with the color combos listed above.
  8. I bought this one and like it a lot for my spinnerbaits, but didn't think about my buzzbaits. They don't fit that well in it, at least not my 3/8oz Cavitrons. I have this one: http://www.***.com/Falcon_FTO_401_Spinnerbait_Box/descpage-FTO401.html
  9. That's some good info there, thanks Bob!
  10. yeah that was a old Loofa I found around the house, I found some better stuff now
  11. I love the pop-r but that jointed wakebait was a POS. I used it today and after 3 casts the front eyelet pulled right out of the bait :-[ It was only a 1.80 bait from Predatorbassbaits, it didn't run true or anything so it wasn't a big loss to me, but I did put some time into it. Now I see what you guys talk about when you say you just do repaints Thanks for all the compliments guys 8-)
  12. Thanks Guys! I really need to get the bluegill pattern down now lol Just need to get some more practice in. I need to go catch some fish on it too ;D
  13. So what do y'all think? I am not thrilled with the Jointed one but I did what I could ;D I went for shad imitations since that is 1 of the 2 biggest forage we have on the lake Jointed Wakebait Rebel Pop-R:
  14. Yeah I hear ya
  15. Well I did 3 CCs of Flex Coat for my 3 baits. I let them stay on the drying wheel for 3 hours then let them sit for another 3 and they are still "soft" and so is the puddle left on my mixing board?? Did I not use enough Hardener? I used 3 ccs of each to mix up the batch.
  16. I could definitely see them being effective for those toothy critters, they love to strike at the swivels
  17. I do weightless t-rigs on my medium spinning rod I do weighted t-rigs with my Citica
  18. Just finished Clearing my first set of baits
  19. $1 a piece, NO THANKS
  20. They're missing out ;D Yeah we have a active management team out on the lake (I work for them part time too). We shock the lake every season to get an accurate sample of the lake. We have noticed a great increase in Bluegill population and the Hybrid Striped bass are getting HUGE! Our Tiger Bass are growing at a great rate, we have had the bass in the lake for 3 years now this month. The largest we've caught was 6lbs 6oz. My boss and I tied the record. The numbers are great out average last year was about 2lbs and now it is very close to 3-3.5lbs. We shocked up some nice bass last month that prespawn could go over 7lbs for sure! So all in all the fishery has really gotten good! It will be a nice fishery for our area for sure!
  21. Buy some Mend-It and it will do numbers for those baits with torn up noses. My rage shad took a beating and looks brand new now http://www.***.com/Mend-It_Glue/descpage-MIG.html
  22. Yeah he did! I had a great time too . I can't wait to go try them out again GO *****!!!
  23. 3/8 ounce black Cavitron buzzbait. Use them around shallow cover and structure (i've had the best success with them around wood) Like everyone else said, early morning and at dusk are great times, but I've also had success during the day when there's a little bit of wind breaking up the surface. x2 I love those Cavitrons just got some in and they look and sound amazing, use trailer hooks! I missed some little bass toady (every bass counts)
  24. Well I am a fishing guide for a local community here in Bluffton, SC. I have been fishing my whole life, I am still very young (I'm 21) so I don't know everything, that's why I love this site it makes me a better fisherman and teacher for our residents at the Neighborhood(I teach fishing club meetings too). I have learned a ton in the short time I've been on this site. Everyone has been very helpful and willing to give up some secrets 8-) Well I had a great fishing trip this morning! I was with a client out on his boat(he got a 2010 tracker) in our community lake(165 acres). We had been fishing soft baits all morning and crank baits all morning (and everything in between) I caught a small 2lb bass on a Smokin Rooster then I decided to try a Rage Shad on a spot that I always love fishing other baits on the bottom with. I made a few casts and didn't get anything. Made a few more saw some peanuts chasing it so I pulled it out and put some Megastrike attractant on it and a few casts later BOOM! I hooked up on a roughly 4lb bass. Then he jumped and tossed the hook. So I went back hitting the same spot several more times then BAM! another one hit it I waited the full 3-4 seconds before I set the hook and hauled in a 5lb 2oz bass! Made some more casts to a spot 15ft away from the previous one, we had just put out some Brush piles. I hit it a few times and a Bass came up and NAILED IT! She weighed in at 6lbs 3oz. All in all Rage Tail baits and Megastrike Attractant turned my poor morning into a great one! I unfortunately outfished my client but he got fired up seeing those big bass. He's still learning but stubborn at the same time BTW we stocked this lake 3years ago this month. We have a great managment team (I work for them too 8-)) We shocked up some really nice bass I can't wait to pull out that monster bass! Thanks Big-O & BobbyMegastrike!!! I shrink fish but here are the pics, I hate having me in the picture because it makes the fish look smaller Ignore the Goober holding the fish Here's the Property I work for : http://www.hamptonlake.com/
