  1. I wanna get some snaps to have for my crank baits and other treble hooks baits. What is a good brand I obviously want to get some good ones so I don't loose any $8-$9 baits. Berkley Crosslocks were the only thing that came up in my search whats some other ones? I am gonna be making a *** order here soon
  2. Well I got one fish on the ugly otter this morning and missed about 3 more! I was fishing it on a carolina rig. I will be throwing these again!
  3. Well i took out a regular client of mine last week and we went out and he tied on a Watermelon Candy whack-n-worm with their new weighted hook system. I will be honest it looked pretty tacky to me especially the ring weight. But hey he did catch two nice bass and a 2.5lb cat fish I will say one thing though they were very delicate he tore two of them up pretty easily. I might try them out but will be just using a owner mosquito hook instead of their hook. I fish my whacky worms with a lightweight set up so I can feel the bite a tad bit better. I am tempted to try these now. The client was fishing the bait horribly though! He wouldn't let it sink he just was jerking it erracticly the whole way back in and wouldn't let it do its thing > But still caught fish so that must say something
  4. Ok so I wanna make my Predatorbassbaits.com wake bait. I wanna make it into a TFS. So my question to y'all is what's the best way to go about this? I have done a white base coat of createx. I was thinking about throwing on a black back with some scales then possibly a gill. I was considering painting a red or orange part on the underside of the throat area ideas? Here are some pics of the bait on his website. Here is the Shad:
  5. wow! you guys are fast. I have a ton of flukes so I could try that. What else keep em coming! You use any thing else than soft baits?
  6. What is your favorite soft bait to throw with a carolina rig? I mainly have thrown lizards with it. But I am open to try different things. I am gonna try to throw it with some creature baits tomorrow morning any other ideas?
  7. yeah gonna give it a try in the morning gonna get out on the lake at dawn
  8. yeah I think I will go with steel in most cases occasionally using tungsten. Tungsten is so freaking expensive. $2 a piece ! I have been using steel with glass beads and like that set up for the most part.
  9. I ran over to BPS tonight and the only one that I saw that I really liked was the Gambler Ugly Otter 4" in Money craw b/c I like the look of the pumpkin and green. I have a ton of watermelon, black/blue, and junebug so I thought I'd try this color. These things look good. I have a pack of wooly hawg tails in Black neon red too (I've had these for a while though) Here's the Gambler:
  10. Well I picked up some Denny Brauer Flippin Weights in 1/2oz b/c that was the only 1/2oz weights they had . Our BPS here has a very poor selection, and when something comes in it goes right back out. I got them in black. I was suprised in the price these things are really expensive :'(
  11. These are the ones? They do look awesome! http://www.roboworm.com/pkframe.htm
  12. ok thanks! That sounds great
  13. When I got back into the baitcaster game, I went with the Quantum PT and really didn't like it personally. I then got a Revo SX and Absolutely loved it so I got the Orra SX to be comparable to it. I got the black max for extremely cheap!. I don't really like it honestly! So I have had good luck with the abu garcias. Only used the old shimano baitcasters like the Bantum. Or all their spinning reels. So that is where I'm coming from.
  14. So should I stick to the Revo/Shimano thing I got going? Give me some pros/cons of the citica vs. the Revo S make up my mind for me ;D
  15. ok cool. Does color make a difference?
  16. even in a shallow lake like that? avg. of 8' deep and deep holes around 10'
  17. Are the sweet beavers at BPS by chance I don't usually order stuff online but we have a BPS a/b a hour from us. I like YUM, ZOOM, & SK the most for my baits they make quality stuff IMO for the price. Some of their stuff is junk but do like a good chunk of their products
  18. First and last ones are sexy! I would cast them for sure. I think you are spot on with the perch stripes. I like it but there is not much stripe to it but I kinda like it at the same time
  19. Well I have a 1.) shimano Crucical 7' cranking stick matched with a Revo SX 2.) Shimano Crucial 7' MH Swimbait rod Orra SX 3.) Shimano Crucial 6'6 MH (Worm ROD) Abu Garcia Black Magic So I want to replace that Black Magic just b/c it is garbage compared to the other reels. I have caught countless bass on it but it just sucks casting its great for just pitching/flipping but that is about it honestly. I have fished a Revo S and love it. I love shimano products I will only use their spinning reels but haven't used their Baitcasters. Love their quality. We are a Shimano Dealer so I try to rep them as much as we can. I get deals on reels at times for being a Guide. I can get the Revo S for 89.99 and the Citica 200E is on sale for 69.99 I don't know if I will be losing anything by saving $20 ?
  20. I got some BPS assorted trebles and actually like them alot super sharp not quite sure how strong they are quite yet though I wanna get some owners or gammys two favorite hook brands
  21. I have been contemplating buying Tungsten weights and after reading on here I think I will get some 1/4oz weights for C-Rigging, what brand do y'all recommend? I want to get them at BPS so whatever they carry would be what I'm looking at. Is 1/4oz good enough for Carolina Rigging? Our lake is 10ft at the deepest
  22. You guys are super helpful, keep the advice coming
  23. I was looking at the Shimano Citica 200E and was wondering what you guys thought about it. I have all Shimano Rods w/ Abu Garcia reels. I am considering trading out my Black Max for this Citica 200E. It will be mainly used for t-rigs, carolina rigs and anything to be used with worms/soft baits in general. Any thoughts. I would really appreciate it.
  24. Ok thanks
  25. So zoom, and rage tail space monkey Texas rigged, anything other brands? Just flipping them around weeds and stuff. Slowly working them on the bottom or dancing them?
