I'm a little confused with this as well...I've had it go both ways with falling pressure, I'd say 50/50 on being a productive day or not. I'm sure other vairiables factor in as well. One thing is for sure....high pressure and rising pressure seems to lock'em up, you know, those high brite sky, bluebird days..... HH

I have a little pencil lookin thermometer that I purchased at a local tackle shop. It has a place to tie on some string (I used a piece of mono)....just dunk it in and give it a few minutes and you have your temp. HH

Nick, I agree 100% Shad Master,.....30-35 mph wind! No wonder you didn't feel the bite. I wouldn't even throw a worm in that situation (thats just me tho) For fishing windy conditions with a worm you need to go to a heavier weight. What size were you using today in that wind? HH

Wow......I'm very surprised that some of you "never" feel the bite. I know that sometimes I don't but, I would bet that 80% of the time I will feel the bite, either the tap tap, thump or tic, etc, etc. I wonder if the equipment that you are using is not sensitive enough? or maybe too much slack in your line????? HH

Wow Sam.......Seems like alot of silly little "rules" that you must abide by for a little local club? Do you have to do that just to get in the "click" of the club? Why can't you just be yourself and fish....ask questions, etc? "Cut your line if you get hung up, don't cuss, pay before you take off, or within an hour of launch? don't run the boat for more than an hour" I don't understand? I'll fish by myself if I have to. Sounds like a Blast!! Not!! Nothing personal, but, I prefer to fish comfortably(sp)....no clicky rules.....JMO.....nothing more HH

piranha......sounds like the same conditions as I have here........Terrible!!!!! It will all be better in about 3 to 4 weeks......I hope!! Water temps are boiling and the fish are not very active at all.......we are catchin some but, it's sloooow at best! We need the water temps to lower a bit! HH

roadwarrior makes an exellent call with Al Linder! The Linder boys can catch fish, PERIOD........ KVD is one of my heros.......the guy can figure out how to catch fish, end of story.......... but, Denny Brauer is my all time favorite! I'm a die hard jig fisherman.....so go figure HH

GamblerFL- I couldn't agree more! This little jewel of a pond produces the best colored, healthiest and stocky fish that I catch anywhere in the state! HH

Water temp was 41 degrees. We were fishing the face of the dam on a small little lake (35acres) The wind was pounding the rocks (35mph gusts) Caught them in 4 to 5 fow. HH'
