  1. Swim it through a bed...
  2. Because you're tired of feeling all of those annoying fish that keep taking your lures. Duh. : Lol I know I'm an idiot but I didn't understand this :-? I think he is referring to the fact that they insulated the handle so you wouldn't be bothered by feeling the fish through the rod handle when they bite. Course I can't speak for him. Just an educated guess on my part. ;D ;D Oooohhhhhhh I get it!!! haha I was waiting for you Basspro96, ik your like 14 or 15 and sponsored STALKER!!! But for real I have felt these rods only in store and at the FLW this past year and personally I think they feel good. ..................
  3. yeah better in open water.
  4. I take it your "sponsored" by them....
  5. Another vote for the Sahara have 2 of them and love em' to death!
  6. 1000 dollars in 3 combo's and your 13 darn! Now I have over a 1000 invested but I hold 2 jobs to pay for this fishing habit.
  7. I like a bluegill pattern jig. These look good nice work!
  8. Rage Tail Anaconda...
  9. This is seriously a helpful reminder and I appreciate it more than you know. I'm a young gun and often times am too overzealous to remember the simple things like sunscreen, posts like this make me recall something so simple yet so important.
  10. I catch most of my good fish on Jigs pitched or flipped to various cover. Most of the time in less than 5 FOW, although I did catch one 5+ last year in about 20 FOW on a jig.
  11. Always be optimistic! I truly do believe that the next cast I'm gonna stick a 5+. This attitude makes you focus on every cast and not become sloppy and miss a solid bite. Be confident and remember your fishing to have fun!
  12. Id start with a Lipless crankbait or jerk bait to try and locate some active fish. Then go back and pick apart smaller areas with a Jig or any finesse tactic you have confidence in. But this is just general advice based on the VERY limited information you gave. Good luck! Have Fun
  13. Its started okay. I have done okay, caught some decent numbers but haven't stuck a big girl...yet.
  14. 7am Upper lake March 19th!!!!
  15. Welcome! Nice to see another VA head. I'm from Richmond

  17. I think were all addicted to catching the big girls! I can't believe you didn't put those fish on the scale!?
  18. On my lipless rod I throw 12# mono. I like some stretch for that application.
  19. Welcome and we'd love you to sit in ALL the time!
  20. Welcome!
  21. Use the C-rig when you want to find the bottom composition. I also feel more comfortable throwing the C-rig in 20+ FOW. You can no doubt catch fish on both in deep water I just overall prefer the C-rig for 20+
  22. Yeah I really dont undertstand why people think 120+ yards is neccesarry for bass fishing. Go with and e5 and you wont be dissapointed the 200 spool size is by no means small.
  23. Those are some really nice Stripers! Congrats!
  24. Had the same problem mentioned above. I have had a better experience with this storm product though. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_83530_100018003_100000000_100018000?hvarAID=shopping_googlebase&om_mmc=shopping_googlebase these are great but they don't last long. get a few if you buy them The Perch pattern in these really works well on one of the local lakes....
  25. How was the fishing at Benbrook? I know its relatively close to their house. I hear lake Granbury had like a massive fish kill so its no good anymore. IDK if there is much truth to it I'm a Va head. do ya have a big population of carp and buffalo fisherman in VA ? I mean we have some but nothing like you guys have in TX. I'm heading to TX over spring break. I have an uncle that lives in Abilene and lives on Fort Phantom Hill Lake, So ill be there in middle of April! 8-)
