  1. Say you got up to 275 bucks to spend on a jig/worm rod, and the the jig weights you'll be throwing are between 1/4oz and 1oz, and the worms are 10" or 12" jumbo worms. What action, brand, and length of rod would you get? You'll be fishing braid 100% Of the time with this set up as well. I am almost dead set on a dobyns champion XP 734, but I hear this rod is maxed out at 1oz. If you own a dobyns champion xp 734, do you feel this rod a underpowered in any way? thanks,
  2. Thanks man!

I have been looking for a small xxx jig hook. I want to make a jig the size of the strike King bitsy flip jig. if you guys know of a hook that fits this bill let me know. And a mold for the hook as well. thanks!
  4. The braided line topic tends to have an effect on bass fishing folks!!
  5. You might catch a 6 pounder!!
  6. Right now is the Spro Rat. That thing just gets bit, I was getting bites on it in February!!
  7. She was safely released! Dang Jeff, just when I thought I had everything figured out!!!!.....lol...
  8. You might catch an 8 pound 11 oz Bass. Caught her in 6 feet of crystal clear water using 50lb Suffix 832, flipping hook, and a Berkley PitBoss texas rig. She was not on a bed! Caught a ton of Bass on this short trip yesterday, due to the cold front we had in Ga these last couple of day I knew fishing was going to be tough, but once we figured out the pattern it was on!
  9. Because the presentation was diferent. Pegged rof is faster, unpegged rof is slower.
  10. 10# PP no leader, and a 1000 series reel size. Line twist is a thing of the past!
  11. Awesome man!!
  12. Sweet!
  13. Not for me. I set the hook hard, and no matter the knot I tie, I seem to break some fish off at the hook set. I spent hundreds of dollars trying different brands, knots, and still had the same problem. It's been 100% braid for the last couple of years and I am not looking back. The only rigs I don't use braid are my crankbaits set ups.
  14. Does anybody own this rod? If so, how's the tip? Hard, soft, or just right. I am wanting a frog rod to replace an Abu Veritas H action I currently use. I want a good tip, not to soft, but not to stiff.
  15. Been fishing all braid for 3 years now and I will never look back. No leaders on any of my rigs, the only poles I don't have braid is my jerk bait set up, and my crankbait rig. For jigs, worms, flukes, senkos, and any other bottom contact lures I use 50lb PP or Suffix 832. I even use it in my finesse presentations.
  16. Just spit on them. I know that sounds nasty, but it helps. I have a pair of costas with the 580 G lense and thats how I keep them from fogging up. They still fog up lightly, but now where near as much.
  17. Regular size and the color was black/blue.

I just started using these Trokar 130 Flipping hooks, and after two fish the hook started to straighten. My set up was a 7' heavy action, with 50lb braid. I like the hooks, but don't like the fact that this happened. I didn't do nothing crazy, I bent down and grabbed the fish. NO swinging the fish in the boat, or pulling the fish through muck. Have any of ya'll had this problem with this hook?
  20. I threw a senko for about an hour and only caught one small bass. Tied up a Berkley pit boss and started catching them!! Biggest fish went 5.4
  21. It's funny how I started catching bigger fish when I started fishing waters where the big ones live!...haha
  22. Slow rolling it pass a dock. She went 5lbs even on my digital scale. Lure was a 6" triple trout Shad color.
  23. Bite their head off, thats what real men do.
