  1. Congratulations, just got married huh?! J/K, J/K...That's awesome! Good Luck!
  2. Congrats pbrussell, please do let us know when that article hits the news stands!
  3. Gotta agree with you Dwight. Here in the Bay State we can use live bait to fish. We have regs that let us keep the fish we catch providing we comply with the laws. Nothing unethical about that. Now, if we use a leadhead jig weighing less than an ounce, which we can not do based on our regulations, then I would consider that unethical.
  4. Good advice papajoe, I tend to leave a smaller #6 hook on the rear and go up or down on hook size on the belly, but after reading your post, I never even gave the split ring thing a thought. I'll have to try that. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Take and old time selfie, put you head on a copier and press copy, post it on here and make sure you #hashbrown it to all your friends here.
  6. I'm here *Hootie, don't feel lonely Bud! Every time I see your avatar, you've caught the same nice fish, but why you still wearing the blue sweat shirt in the summer?
  7. Amazing what depression can do. He will be surely missed. What a talent!
  8. I don't even think Jimmy Houston would kiss that fish...

  10. Goose52 had a great post on a similar thread:
  11. Hang in there Bud, we've all been there...like slonezp said, this too will pass.
  12. Wouldn't you think they're all reaction bites, they differ in what type of stimulus it took to incite the reaction.
  13. Why, does she talk southern Bama like Raider?
  14. Congrats tipp, hard work in the class room is a great foundation for the good fortunes you dream of. I started college late, but I made sure I went to school in a field I wanted to be in. I graduated with honors and was 1/100th of a point from high honors. My hard work in the classroom enabled me to obtain things I never thought I would have had. Keep up the hard work.
  15. Hey Clark617, I expect the fall bite to just as good as any other year. Welcome back to the Bay State!
  16. If you can't find one, do not dispair, I'll have an extra brand new one for ya. Hope to see you as well!
  17. No the elephant's @$$, didn't you see the pic?
  18. massrob, I'm not sure when I'll be back to Buckmasters next, but I will absolutely let you know when I do go back there. It will more than likely be for the fall bite and I may get there sooner. In the mean time, get yourself a lipless crank in a pumpkinseed or orange craw pattern and cast as far as you can to get to that second weed line. Dick's sports is having a buy 1 get 1 clearance and I know they have those lures.
  19. Hey massrob, I fish Buckmaster's in Westwood at times. As a matter of fact I fished there this afternoon for a couple of hours with some luck. In the 2 hours there I was able to get 5 on a lipless crank. The fish were all out in the second weed line in about 8-10 ft of water. The lipless crank was the only way I was getting to them. Long casts, slow, stop and go retrieves and I found that the fish were relating to 2 different types of weeds growing next to each other. You're probably not far from the pond, check it out. Maybe one afternoon I can meet you over there?
  20. To be a pack rat. I'm, actually, not a pack rat. If there is something in my house that hasn't been touched in 2 years, then it's landfill. Except...............................................fishing equipment. I still have the original rod and reel I used when I started fishing, FLW cranks and assorted tackle, fishing reels and rods I've accumulated over the years, 3 St. Croix rods I built back in the late 90's will never make the landfill as long as live. Today, after work I saw a nice hole to make a few casts at. Well, let's just say my outing was cut short when I heard this nasty squeel from my reel during a long cast. I spun a bearing. Got out some old parts and reels to see if anything would work and wouldn't you know, a reel with the same spool bearing. Spent the next 20 minutes switching out the spool bearing and while I was at it, did a quick clean of the reel. Smooth as silk again. Now I know I have too much miscellaneous fishing items that really need to be tossed, but seriously, is it all that bad to be a pack rat?
  21. Well now, I think H311 just froze. Never in my life have I recalled a Red Sox/Yankees trade, but the Sox traded Steven Drew to the Yankees for Kelly Johnson. I know, yawn, but a Red Sox/Yankee trade?
  22. I'm hitting Blue Hills tomorrow, where would you think would be the most productive location if you were staning on the point? I'm guessing where the tanks are would be a good fish holding spot. AND DEEP!
