Asking For A Raise
I agree. The bonus system is just that, a system where you produce to meet an exeed numbers but the quality usually lacks. Give a guy a fair wage and generally he'll take pride in his work and will produce. I say generally because there are a lot of guys out there that just don't earn what they make, it's never enough and there will never be pride in their work. That's just the way it is. Fortunatley, the labor pool is still abundant enough with qualified workers who care, management just has to have courage enough to let these bad apples go. Anyway, just mt 2 cents.

Asking For A Raise
A couple of things I see is maybe you should wait until you completed your first year, after all its only 2.5 mos away. The other thing is, perhaps you should bend the ear of the salesman first and find out who you should be talking to, or ask some co-workers, it doesn't sound like you know the organizational structure there. If it turns out that your supposed to talk to the GM then I would gain some leverage and secure a position with another company prior to asking him/her for a raise. If he's that much of a "tool" then you could be out of a job real quick. Again, I would wait until you secured a year under your belt and spend that time getting to know the person your suppose to talk to a little better. Get on friendly terms. There's one thing I've observed and heard over the years is that most employers do not like employees asking for a raise prior to their employment anniversary date.

Random Act Of Kindness
I coached my son's baseball teams for 4 years up until last the 2013 season when he moved from 1 town to the other (he switched from a private school to our town's public school). This past season I was talking to one of the parent of my son's friend and found out that she was divorced and recently got laid off, so between games and practices I'd invite her son down to the batting cages with us and a game of pepper ball. His mother couldn't have been more appreciative. When the coach got released she went to the LL director to make sure I took over for the remainder of the season which I thought was nice of her to do. Anyway, there was a whole thread about last season...LOL

Adrian Peterson - I Hope It's Not True
AP was placed on the exemption/commissioner's permission list by the team barring him from all team activities until all legal proceedings have takened place. I think the Vikes made a good decision with respect to that.

Whats Your Biggest Accomplishment In Bass Fishing So Far?
This year's accomplishment was seeing my kids catch striped bass...I know it's not black bass, but to have them ask to go fishing again after that was and is a thrill for me. I know they weren't big, but boy, did they have fun.

Adding Replacement Bigger Or Same Size Hooks To A Heddon Super Spook?
Just as long as you replace both front and rear hooks you should be fine. You kill dog walker action by adding too much weight in the front. The weight of those 2 hooks won't pull the spook down too much, spooks are really buoyant. Besides, if I read your op correctly you already bought the hooks, try it out, if you don't like switch them out.

When Does The Fall Bite Turn Into The Winter Bite
Ya beat me to it...LMAO

Red Eye Shad
It actually happened to me when I caught my PB a week and a half after ice out. Similar situation, different bait. I had made up a spinnerbait and I tied a rabbit (zonker) strip on for a trailer and I wanted to see the action of the rabbit strip in the water. I threw into an area where I knew there were some last year's weeds. I was reeling in and trying a new retrieve technique I read about over the winter. Snag. I'm thinking that there is no way those weeds are that thick. As with most spinnerbaits, you generally can reel right through the weeds, which I did. On the next cast, same thing only this time I figured I'd rip it out of the weeds to see how thick those weeds were. The bait wouldn't budge, what seemed like 30 seconds later, I felt the tail of the fish trying to swim off. So now I'm thinking that the weeds are to thick to pull the fish through, so I decided to ease up on the drag to let the fish swim out of the weeds and then I'll put the spurs to her. As soon as the fish felt like she was out of the weeds, the game was on. As it turned out, the fish was 8.5 lbs, and there were no weeds. I thought I was good enough to know the difference between snagging weeds, timber etc and large fish, but what I learned that day was: when in doubt, set the hook, it just could be a trophy fish! BTW, that homemade spinnerbait never saw water again.

For The Dog Lovers
That was awesome for sure! I think I have the only dog on earth that hates the water. I have a home along the coast of Maine and we take our dog out to the beach at night to run around, she got close to the water and got wet once...just once, she won't go near it...LOL
