  1. I agree with grimlin. I'm running Norton Internet Security and always come back from lunch and find a message saying that tracking cookies have been removed. The security software will scan when the computer has been idle for a period of time. Nate, I agree that new viruses are being written faster than anti-virus software companies can probably keep up with. I just don't think that a free one would really care to keep up to date than one you've paid for. I paid short money for mine and like Lund Explorer says for $70/year and up to 3 computers, it's short money. Every morning I run a live update thru Norton and have at least 4 security updates a day being installed. I'll probably run out of hard drive space before I get a virus...LOL
  2. Welcome to BR.
  3. Hello & welcome
  4. Thing that gets me is that they want you to whip out your credit card to view information that you don't the public to see. Thankfully I didn't make the cut.
  5. Looks great FW. Very nice idea. I'll have to PM you my fishnet split grip a did a while back. Maybe we could compare some notes. I might have to steal some ideas from ya. LOL
  6. Thanks guys. BobP & RandyS thanks for posting the links. I'll have to try them out tomorrow.
  7. They are foiled photo finishes !! Pretty hard to learn but I kept at it until I could get them the way I liked them. Havent done a Tilapia yet but I will give it a try. A lot of info on TU about the foil baits, its where I learned the technique. Thanks Guys !! Those came out really nice. You're right, you would think the technique would be easy, but it's actually harder than that. I just completed my first photo finish on a lipless crank as well as a foiled job on a topwater. I'm very happy with both, but I think you have it down Big_Bass_Man1. Keep up the good work.
  8. Awesome, Man! Tin, I haven't fished the cape in a few of years. Since the downturn in the economy, my summers have been spent working outside of the sate. Last year, I pretty much stayed local and getting my now 6 yr old son into fishing. I know what you mean tho, pretty sad.
  9. Personally, I like synthetic crimped material for topwaters instead of natural hair (bucktail, calftail etc) or I use feathers or a combination of both. IMHO, the rear hook on a topwater is like a rutter and natural hair tends to hold more water and weighs the rear hook down which tends to take away from the lures action. If I tie feathers, synthetics or both, I tend to keep it on the sparse side but yet enough to add to the profile of the bait, if that makes sense to you. I can pm a pic if you want. Whatever you use, especially natural hair, don't over do it. It's real easy to do.
  10. I heard that report as well. You wonder if Luck is staying because of all the lockout talk.
  11. I'm looking to repair a couple of older reels (about 10 years old). Do any of you know of some reel parts sources/venders?
  12. Nice Jim. That sure looks like a very deep diver. Very nice color pattern.
  13. Very nice. Simple and clean. Both should be fish catchers.
  14. It doesn't look like anything too serious from what I've been reading. Back in 2001 I was working for a client in the Hancock Tower in Boston and our contact was on the flight to San Fran that went into the WTC. Sorry guys, I should have waited before I posted this. I guess I got a little jumpy.
  15. I just read 2 others: Reuter states that the 2 packages "detonated" NBC described it as "popped" FBL: I just read that Yahoo one as smoke and odors! I wonder which one is right.
  16. This is scary, anyone in MD hearing anymore news on this? http://www.aolnews.com/2011/01/06/packages-explode-at-2-govt-buildings-in-md/?icid=maing%7Cmain5%7Cdl1%7Csec2_lnk1%7C34951
