PHEW !!! Talk about a case of hand cramps ! If you average 2000 a year, X 40 years , DUDE THATS 80,000 FISH !!!!!!! Since you have your records, would you mind sharing with the rest of us the 40 year total ?

I expected nothing less from you buddy, awesome job !!!!! Before I go I have a question for ya, just how in the world do you keep track of over 2000 fish? Shucks, I almost forgot I caught those three LOL !!!

A few in the 7lb range would make my day's for sure LOL !!! I have not been fishing much at all this year, when I did make it out, it has been for very short periods of time during the day, my running total for the year so far is a whopping 3 fish which came on a trip to the river near my area LOL !!! Glad to hear your putting a hurting on them though buddy !!!

Any area producing more than others? What is the largest one for the year so far for you ?

There is only three words I use that will sum it all up. SON OF AAAHHH !!!!!!!!!!

It really depends, time of day has a lot to do with my favorite, Heddon spook jr is one of my favorite this time of year early in the mornings, medium depth cranks in shad colors bangging on the brush piles will load the boat in a hurry, shad, fire tiger, colored spinners along the rock levies, shad colored flukes in the tall grass that is still around, Lizards and jigs around rock piles, jigs around docks and stumps. I have so many this time of year it's really hard to pick a favorite or two, but I will say this is my favorite time of year to fish !!!

The only one not showing on the list is Joeleree's Father-in-law, I have not seen a name posted yet though. Nice job Traveler !!! I forgot to mention all that stuff was not so far away. We are still looking for boaters as Traveler has mentioned, we would like a 1 to 1 ratio so all will have the chance to fish all day, we can not handle any more non boaters for an all day excursion on the water with the way things are as of right now. Frustration leads to thinking way too much sometimes, slow down and be really patient and give yourself a chance, you have already said you have tried everything, trust me you have not tried everything yet, if the water is stained and you are having trouble, think about this, if you are in a dark room that you have been in 100 times, how long does it take you to find the door? Usually we will wait for our eyes to adjust and look for a light or something to guide us to some part of that room we want to go, think about a fish in dark or stained water, the first thing those stuborn fish will do is listen for something familure using their sensory along their sides, once they pick up the noise or vibration they move to investigate the sound until they can use their eyes and lock onto a target. SLOW DOWN and don't get frustrated, find something that will peak their interest, something with a SMALL clicking sound will get their attention, the big ones are silent, slow moving, stealthy machines, they have figured out what others have not, silence is golden. If you throw top water use long pauses and let the bait sit on top, move it ever so slightly with one, maybe two quick twitches, and let it sit again, and keep repeating and playing with the cadience until you get the right one. Anything under the surface would make just enough noise to attract attention with small movements so the fish won't have to keep looking for it, give them a chance to find the bait and hone in, a small clicker on a worm rig or a swim jig with a very small clicker swimming by the suspended ones would be my suggestion and things of that nature in colors that will match the forage of that lake.

Had a great question pop up here guys, Is there anyone interested in joining us for the cookout only ? If so, post it here so that we can make arrangements, plans will have already been made for the ones we know for sure that will be there and will have already paid for their food up front for the evening meal. My preliminary thought would be to bring what you wish to have cooked and join in the fun !!!

I wish you could make it as well, Zoff and I are trying to come up with some plans that we could do this all over our state, one of the lakes we have in mind covers two states, Va. & N.C. Kerr lake or buggs island depending on where you are from, it would be a little closer to you, hope you can join us then !!! I would love to join you guys at pickwick this coming roadtrip, hope we can make it, I would love a chance to fish with some of you great guys and gals !!!

If I have to guess I would say roughly around the 3 lb mark give or take, but man, those are some good looking fish, really nice job spoon !!!! Water looks a little weedy too, you fishing the holes or finding them along the edges?

Thanx BBF, we sure wish you could make it, who knows where this will take us from here, I would like to see one of these big meet and greets like this once a year at least, who knows, maybe if the economy gets better we will do this quarterly, and we can do one for each part of the state, Northern Va., Southern Va., Eastern Va., and Western Va., there are so many options on the table right now we are just not sure where the next one will be or when, I myself, like the idea of an annual event like this one. We hope this works out really well for the sponsors and everyone there, so hang in there we will find our way close to you in the future, can't wait to see you then !!!

Liquor? as a side dish? hhhmmmmm, Know how to do a green bean casarole? you know the one with the onions on top? or if you really want to bring more beans like baked beans just cut up some polish sausage in slices and bake them with the beans...I am sure my wife will love you for it !!! I think I best keep my opinions to myself on that one LOL !!!
