I have the 6'6 M MF gold series. I've been using it for a bit of everything and it has performed flawlessly. Definitely my favorite rod I have and I'm considering getting a few more. Paired it with a Revo SX. Great set up. I've heard of a lot of people's carrot stix breaking but they'll send you a new one for free. I've heard nothing but positives other than the whole breaking issue.

I have the spinnerbait/worm rod and use it for cranking a lot. It works fine, but I'm not a big fan of the rod. I recently got a gold series carrot stick and the skeet rod doesn't even compare. If you wanted to get a skeet rod you can use for more than cranking the spinnerbait/worm rod works great for the $

I have the Johnny Morris Gold Series and the Revo SX. I love both of them. I'd choose whichever one you liked more. They're both solid reels.

Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. I went fishing with a friends dad last weekend who has been fishing that lake for 20+ years and has had insane luck on Zoom 8 inch Watermelon red lizards. I threw a bit of everything and only caught stuff on those lizards. Hope this helps if you fish there again.
