  1. i won't be home until probably a week from now so i can't get you a pic right now. But the boat is a 1994 ranger comanche 492VS with a month old Mercury 225 Pro XS if that helps any.. I had a new Ranger Z521 that already had the graphs when i bought it but i just got a divorce and had to sell it grhhhh.. So now im just updating my old boat so i can use it for the next year or two until i get back on my feet.
  2. Im getting ready to update my graphs and i have decided on the hummingbird 1198. My question is does it come with everything i need to make a complete install? If i remember right on lowrances you have to buy the unit and then the package or some bs like that, didnt know if Hummingbird is the same way
  3. offshore structure fishing keep it simple.. black and blue, black and red, green pumpkin, brown. Now thats not the only colors i throw but for the most part those will serve you well If you are going to be fishing jigs around shallow cover then you should have the colors i mentioned above and you need to add some blue gill and shad colors. This is just a guide line but if you are just going to be down here for a tournament then those colors will get the job done. Also i would suggest taking a look at northstar jigs they are outstanding jigs!!!!! They're the only jigs i use now.
  4. i have fished it several times this year but i've only pulled one 7lb off of it... so far... I have caught alot of fish there just no size, but i havent committed a full day there i've just been hitting it for an hour or two during the day
  5. I have never tried tatsu but i have tried invisx and red label. to me they have way to much stretch might as well fish with mono... I have tried to experiment at least once with every FC and the best premium FC i have found is Sunline Shooter its all i will use... the best budget FC i found was actually bass pro XPS and Trilene 100%

I own both and to me costa is superior.. i have a pair of oakley straight jackets in the shallow blue and i have the costa corbinas 580G in every lense color they have for that model.. i like the corbinas the best because of the no slip frame when your face gets sweaty.. i also own one pair of fathoms but they let in alot of light around the lense
  7. Try the Warmouth! IMO its by far the best in that class..
  8. Actually thats not the best four day record... it is for FLW but not the best "four day" record. B.A.S.S Lonestar shootout on Falcon lake in 2008 holds that record. four day total was 132.8lbs. 106lbs wouldnt have made the top 12 that tournament. Amistad has busted 106 also.
  9. never I live on Toledo Bend
  10. Hey guys its good to be back!! my computer crapped out shortly after moving to the lake. I also wanted everyone to know that at Paradise Point, the marina I live at, has put in a new deep water launch!!! and this is no gravel or bags of concrete launch it is a completely new ramp. You can launch probably down to 145 God forbid it gets that low though. Here is a link of Stephen Johnston being the first to christen the new ramp at the ribbon cutting. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=220062191397210&set=o.131971273533984&type=3&theater. Paradise Point is a full service marina with restaurant, motel, and cabins. The fishing is unbelievable right now!
  11. Catt said it all! I live on toledo bend, there not a prayer that goes by that i dont give thanks to be able to live on the lake that ushered in the sport of pro bass fishing

  15. My first boat was a 20ft nitro, second boat was a 20ft skeeter, third boat is a 21ft ranger commanche, there won't be a fourth!!! well there might be but it sure as hell will be another ranger!!! Best boat i have ever owned or rode in for that matter..

  18. do you know who sang the orginal
  19. i voted baitcaster all the way. Dont get me wrong each are important tools. It has alot to do with where you grow up to. Down here baitcasters are pounded into your brain since you were old enough to hold a rod. The only time i use spinning gear is for crappie fishing or when im fishing drop shot. There is nothing i cant do without a baitcaster. Granted you do have to spend more money on equipment to cast lighter baits with a baitcaster, but as you know you get what you pay for in reels so i like higher end reels anyway. Im not putting down spinning gear down in anyway its just the way i was brought up.
  20. there is a night and day difference between the lowriders and Caras
