Livewells (I need your help!!)
ernel - would the timer work for both livewells or just one? i'm guessing that if you could hook it up for both, they would have to be run at the same time as oppossed to individually. 1 would still be better than none but i am hoping to find one that could run both livewells individually, for those days that i am the only one on the boat. i am heading to bass pro shops on monday, next best place to the water ;D

Livewells (I need your help!!)
Thanks for the tips. ernel - How much trouble was it to put in the timer you got from Bass Pro when yours went out? The whole idea of cutting and drilling in my boat is kinda scary to me, I'd hate to mess something up. Is there a lot of wiring that has to be done? I'm guessing since your boat already had a timer, you might not have had to rewire everything or cut a hole. Sounds like a great idea and affordable, I just don't know how easy it would be.

Livewells (I need your help!!)
I have a few questions involving livewells. I have 2, each seperate from the other, with switches for both individually. One has a plug and I believe the other has a mess screen type deal. I have a switch I can open that lets the livewells drain when it's open and out of the water, or fill when it's open and in the water, but it only fills a little bit, because the boat sits pretty high in the water. I have had some problems keeping fish really healthy in the livewells. It seems like they are hardly alive when I get them out. What way is the right way to fill your livewells? Is it by pumping the water in using the aerator switch? Then once you have water in it, what do you do? Do you open the valve that lets water out/in and leave the aerator running? Do you just let the water sit there and bring in fresh water every now and then? Basically I need a crash course on livewells. What is the proper way to use your livewells and keep fish healthy? Thanks in advance.

Javelins
The guy took us out on it...him, myself and my dad...all 3 of us over 220 lbs...and it got up to 45 mph or so...he said by himself it's more like 51 or so...that's with just an aluminum prop. I'm thinkin with a stainless steel prop and just myself on board it will probably push upper 50's or if I'm lukcy 60. That's not bad with a 90 horse. It's only rated for a max of 115 anyway. It sits up high and it wasn't rough riding but we were in a bay that day without many waves so I don't know.

Javelins
Thanks for the info and pics. In your opinion, would it be worth it to buy a Javelin? I am still young and it would be my first boat. I am looking at a 1999 Javelin Venom 17. It has less than 30 hours use on it and has been garage kept. It has a 90 hp Johnson and the previous owner put a bigger trolling motor on it. It's a 50+ lb. thrust Minn Kota. It has a Garmin fish finder on it and an in dash blinker. 2 livewells, rod locker, storage compartments, built in cooler...etc. Everything is in great shape and has been taken care of. The previous owner took us out on it and it fired right up and ran great. The only thing wrong with it, is the tacometer isn't working right now. He said the last time he had it out it was. Could be a fuse, who knows. Looks like a beauty! What do you think a boat like this is worth? How much would you pay for one? Is there a website that shows that boats are worth? Thanks again!

Javelins
I am looking for information on Javelin Bass Boats. I can't seem to find much about them on the internet. All I really know is they are made by Stratos, or at least I think they are. Can anyone tell me the quality level of these boats...compared to Ranger, Tritons, Skeeters, etc. Does anyone own one and could possibly tell me their own personal pros and cons? In particular the Javelin Venom 17? Thanks for the info in advance.

Trolling motor help
I have a 55# thrust minn kota trolling motor and recently the directional arrow on the top stopped moving with my trolling motor. The motor itself still runs and moves fun but the arrow just kind of sits in the same spot. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how do you go about fixing it? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.
