My son and I fished last Saturday, 7/14, in weather just like you described. Best day we have had in 2 yrs. I mean it rained so much I got wet through my $225.00 rain gear. We caught bass 2# to 4# all day long. Never done that before. Go figure, I sure cant. Hootie

I use to have a BB1 about 30 years ago, or longer. They were great reels. Wish I had it back. Lews originated the first low profile reel. The first Lews were made by Shimano, before Shimano started making their own reels. Hey LMG, ya think the old Lews reels were so great because Shimano made em? LOL Hootie

Is inches per turn really a big deal to you, and do you think it is really that critical. I would like as many opinions as I can get on this issue. Really appreciate it guys. Hootie

Is there anything to repair pitted cork on my rod handle. I know I can buy pit paste from any place that sells rod building supplies. What I am looking for is something I can pick up at my local big box hardware store. Hootie

Hey LMG, I think I might be in trouble. I work at BPS in the fishing dept., part time. Monday I was working behind the counter, and everytime there was a lull in activity, I would take the Chronarch out of the display case and play around with it. Awesome reel. I dont need another reel. Furthermore, when I buy reels, I always buy two. Man thats $400.00, NO discount. So with all the banter about shimano (still small s), I feel this is partly your fault. So its up to you to talk me back to my senses. Lol Hootie
