I see what you're talking about. I am looking at a knife from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. It has ringed bolsters. Wasn't quite sure what that meant. I know there are so cheapie knives with little clip on bolsters. Absolutely don't want that. Hootie

Guess I never considered any sort of disabilities. Sometimes we aren't aware of what the other guy might be dealing with. Absolutely, use whatever makes it possible to get out and fish, without pain and discomfort. A lot of my friends are amazed that at my age I have absolutely no physical restraints. I was talking to one of my fishing friends who has terrible back problems, which keeps him from being able to spend much time in a boat. He is only in his mid fifties, a mere kid to me. To often we take our blessings for granted. So, here's to all the light weight reels. "Fish em' if ya got em". Hootie
