Ironic that you should say that. The Calcutta 100b is exactly what I've been using for the job. I suppose it's true that "great minds think alike"...lol. Hootie

How Heavy?
I have two 50e series Curados and one 50e Chronarch. I tend to associate these reels with finesse fishing only, so I rarely use them. I have said before, I am partial to full sized reels......200e series. Might sound like a silly question from someone who should already know, but, hey, I don't know everything..lol. Would these reels hold up under the stress of pulling a 3/8 to 1/2 oz. spinnerbait? Or say, a squarebill crankbait? I never throw anything larger than a 1.5 and never any deep divers. You teeny reel guys out there, " HELP"! Hootie

shimano baitcasting reels quality
Of course you do. You can't see with your E's. Sorry, Bluebasser, I just couldn't restrain myself...lol. By the way, those E's you're talking about. Chronarchs, or Curado's? And what kind of shape are they in? Hootie

shimano baitcasting reels quality
I have 3 G series Citicas that I have been using almost exclusively this season. I think, so far they are great little reels. They are performing flawlessly. I still have my Cores, my E series Chronarchs and Curado 50e's, my Curado i's, my Calcutta 100b's. Stradic 2500fj, and Sahara 3000,...blah....blah....blah. Shimano....Shimano. Hootie

G Loomis Gl2 Vs E6X
Don't mean to be negative about any other posts, but I would take the E6X over the GL2's all day. I had a GL2 j&w rod and didn't like it at all. That said, I have never used an E6X. I've only handled them in the store. I like the way they feel. I nearly bought one but talked myself out of it. I have "WAY" too many Loomis rods as it is. In fact, too many rods period. Hootie

Seaguar Tatsu-what have I done??
Really you should buy and use whatever you like and can afford. I get harassed by my fishing buddies all the time for using GLX's and NRX rods, but using whatever hooks are on sale. Hootie
