  1. I remember those reels although I never owned one. My first low profile baitcaster was a Shimano Bantam 100. The little silver reels. Hootie
  2. Now that's a BASS! Wait, that's a different post. Hootie
  3. Yes, he was also one of the tournament fisherman then. Lots of strange names on the circuit back then. Basil Bacon, Bo Dowden, Hurley Board. That's just a couple that come to mind. Hootie
  4. Don't think it was. Hootie
  5. Buzzed bait, I'm glad you could see that I was joking. I just hope everybody knows that...lol. P.S. that was uphill both ways, in the snow, with no shoes. Hootie
  6. Comfort? Are we going fishing or laying on the couch watching a movie. I, sometimes think this comfort thing is over played. By the way, I don't like War Eagle spinnerbaits. The blades are so shiny that they hurt my eyes...lol. Hootie
  7. I always Texas rig my tubes with a 4/0 or a5/0 EWG hook. I might add, I typically only use 4" tubes. A tube bass. For perspective, the boat seat is 16 1/2" wide. Hootie
  8. I just took a look at those. I think I like that "Fiesta Melon" color. Tubes were probably 30% of my fishing last year. Hootie
  9. Just saw a NIB Shimano scorpion 1500xt on eBay from a seller with a 98.7 rating, for $169.00 + $20.00 shipping. That scorpion is identical to the e series Chronarch. I have one and love it. I also have 2 Chronarchs. I ordered the Scorpion when I couldn't find any more new Chronarchs. Hootie
  10. Hyundai Accent. I wouldn't trade the gas mileage just so I could get a longer rod in the car. It's that excellent mileage that lets me afford to buy Loomis rods....lol. Hootie
  11. My rods are 6'6" and 6'8". Can't fit anything longer in my car. Hootie
  12. Not at all. It's all fun and quite interesting. Hootie
  13. Yeah, this lake never has more than 10 inches of visability. Hootie
  14. NOW that's a BASS!! Hootie
  15. 28 degrees this morning. Still managed a couple. One for me, and one for my son. No matter what I do, I can't get these photos right side up! Hootie
  16. I've been using Lucas reel oil. I like it just fine. Hootie
  17. BEAUTIFUL!!! Hootie
  18. I'm a devoted Shimano guy myself and I too have 4 PQ's. I myself wouldn't change anything about them. But then I am kind of old school. You know, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"....lol. Hootie
  19. That's a build your own fishing buddy kit...lol. Hootie
  20. NOW, that's a big un'. Hootie
  21. Seems everyone has their own system and that's good. If it ain't broke, don't fix it....lol. Hootie
  22. A 3/8 oz BPS chartreuse Lazer Eye spinnerbait. Hootie Hey!...thanks a bunch! Hootie
  23. I will always try a, "new to me" bait when the fishing is really hot. That will tell me, "usually" if it's a good bait. I know there are exceptions. A couple of my fishing buddies will break out a new lure when they are not hitting anything. Not a fair test in my opinion. If you can't catch them on your "go to" bait, how can you dismiss a lure you've never used before. Hootie
