  7. The only difference is that the tag end is put through the bottom opening before going through the top loop. That extra step is intended to add strength to the line when useing braid. However, you do not put the looped tag end through the bottom loop when tieing the double. It bunches it up too much which will cause weak spots especially for line over 10# 12# Mike
  8. When I read you title I said to myself..."I can help this guy" ...But After reading Primtime's response I dont think I can add anything worthwhile...So I'll just move on Mike

  14. No Sir I don't. I guess you could but there's really no need as it's kept moving through the water column which keeps that light glass pinned by itself. Even when dropping into holes it doesn't move. Mike
  15. You're gonna get a short strike on any frog you throw once in awhile...period Just hold off on setting the hook until you see it go under and feel a pull..Then set straight up, and hard!! Some fish will just swipe at it and try to push it, play with it, who knows??? Its just part of what makes frog fishing what it is. Just don't think its always the frog or its always you....Because its not. Cutting off the tail gives you nothing...its a balancing point, leg movement imitater and designed to give it bulk...There maybe more but Im not a frog designer, just someone who has thrown these for years and have the most success with....And yes that includes the great and all powerful Pad Crasher!! A frog with a slender body and long cylindrical strands for legs, being either rubber or silicone, most guys will trim off an inch or more of one side to help them "walk" it much easier. Not needed on a Scum as the trailer comes out the back in a bunch as you know. A spritz of L&L once in awhile on the trailer with help with the matting up as it will on all frogs. If you're not hooking up its not because of the profile. To me, the thing that makes the Scum the best frog IS because of the hook up. It's one of the softest frog's you can buy so there is no need to pry open the hooks. It also have a different sound when it hits the water..advantage? I don't know, just an opinion. Good Luck to you Mike
  16. If cost doesn't bother you then its Tatsu or Sniper. If it does Yo Zuri for sure. Mike
  17. I use the Owner keel weighted screw in hook with the centering pin. Tried different ones but keep coming back to these. For a standard sized Big EZ or Skinny Dipper I use a 5/0 with a glass bullet on the nose. Mike
  18. Hello and Welcome! Used to use inline spinners years ago..They will catch bass but there are so many better options I just don't anymore. Mike
