Poll: The Best Lure for Quantity
For me it's always been either a Senko or a Fluke. Mike

G. Loomis NRX is it worth it
Would a GLX be compatible to a NRX? Maybe that would be another option. Mike

- Heavy flipping hook vs Offset shank hook
- Should I vary my baits, or specialize in one area?

Line for soft plastics
All excellent options! Another good option is to use a nail weight in a Fluke to get it down. Mike

No Iaconelli in MLF this season?
Entertaining? Yes, That's a good way to put it but he still drives me nuts sometimes watching him. Mike

G Loomis rod power
Rarely do I fish that kind of water. If I did I think I would agree with you. I live in So Fla where the majority of the waters that we fish in (Okeechobee, Toho, etc.) have mostly moderate to heavy submerged and emergent grass, heavy concentrations of reeds (I gues thats what you call tules). That's the type of cover that I wanted another MH/F rod for. Really anything but for punching matt's and for open water. I understand that the Loomis JWR series are more stout Mike

G Loomis rod power
I don't know...My first Loomis rod a MBR GLX 843C, is not only the lightest and most sensative rod I've ever owned, it also has the lightest action of any MH/F rod I've ever owned or used. Very surprising. It is really not what I expected. I originally wanted it for bottom contact presentation's in med to heavy cover but it scares me. Gonna have to get a JWR one for that..Which I didn't expect I'd have to do. Mike

50 LB braided line-only frogs?
Ditto. Except for punching. For me that's a min of 65# Mike

Looking for a new line
For an "all around" line to be used for most applications that you asked for, I'd suggest Yo Zuri in the pound test that best fits the conditions you fish in the most. Mike

Line for soft plastics
For soft plastic bottom contact presentation's in light to medium cover I use 16# Sniper.. After that it's straight braid. I don't use a leader at all for anything. Don't see the need. Mike

How to fish Beaver soft plastic
They are my go to punch bait and have been for years. Really don't even consider anything else anymore. Combine the beaver with a G Money punch skirt and you have one deadly set up. I used to use them also on the Biffle Hard Head swivel also but the Rage Bug have been my go to for that now. Tried it weightless a few times but when fishing craw type bait, I'd rather have something with a little more tail actionn like the Rage Craw or Bug. Mike
