  1. Yeah Superbraid is nice still have a reel with #8 on it that gets used for gills its like 5-6 y/o. Just when new there was lots of coating on it and gummed the reel some.
  2. X2 on the Pres get a better rod with the rest. Iv had a Pres on my Avid
  3. Prior ones sold-out---Looks like they got more in if anyone interested. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bargain-Cave/Fishing/Rods%7C/pc/105591780/c/105740280/sc/105742080/Camo-Stix-Casting-Rods/1228643.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fbargain-cave-fishing-rods%2F_%2FN-1102769%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_105742080%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253Bcat105591780%253Bcat105740280&WTz_l=SBC%3Bcat105591780%3Bcat105740280%3Bcat105742080
  4. Ive used mostly braid for years now PP,SuffixPerformance,Stren Super. Like PP the most. Not really any bad experience with them. I like it cause I dont lose my lure from professional overruns like I did with mono. Plus I dont have line twist/coiling issues. Dont use leaders. Im going to try fluoro on my new reels one casting one spinning and most likely it will be Tatsu cause of the reports of how good it is. And wanting the most sensitivity out of the line which Ive read is much better than braid.
  5. Yeah thats what I meant I didnt elaborate but yeah mine wasnt for storage but just flat area to stand. The platform wasnt at/near the top but lower near where the wall meets the v-ribs about 1' below the seat. Stability fine actually easier to move about.
  6. NICE gets you out on the water. That front section you can build a platform to stand on Thats what I did to mine when I had one. That top is something I wish I had.
  7. Yeah this reel is super slick/smooth and the color wont show minor blimeshes like the gold one Pflueger is putting out nice reels.
  8. Show & Tell the new gear you got. All together from Christmas sales I got St Croix Legend Elite put Pflueger Sumpreme XT on it. The spool from the gold SXT fits the new SXT btw. A Curado 50E. put it on my Smoke rod.
  9. It gets confusing cause one site's respected "pro" uses product A while another site's respected "pro" uses product B & one "pro" blasts the other "pro's" product. And another site's repected "pro" uses product C.
  10. here it is, look center of pic and then just right about a cm see the hole. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/70724-thanks-to-a-spro-frog-caught-my-biggest-lmb/
  11. Dont forget the color of your shirt makes a difference as well
  12. I have rods both ways and really cant tell much difference to what the first guide size makes. The rod with smaller first guide casts great but the rod itself isnt all that sensitive $50 BPS. I use 1000 size reel with it. The rod in comparison is an Avid.
  13. My PB bass forgot that rule. 92degrees no wind no clouds around noon BAM topwater strike. I catch many bass on these types of days.
  14. My bc set-up is Quantum Smoke 7'MF, Pinnacle Deadbolt Classic #20powerpro. Spinning is Avid 8'ML Moderate, StradicFI 1000 #10pp I have recently purchased a Curado 50E a St Croix Legend Elite spinning rod and got a Pflueger Supreme XT 30 so some changes are in order for springtime. I would like to try Fluoro as well.
  15. Do you mean the Stradic for the Shimano? I've had 3 Stradic FI's & 2 Supreme XT's (the all gold one and the new black/gold one. I got the new XT based on how well the gold one performed and it is very nice as well. My experience with Stradics wasnt good so wouldnt buy another. Cant comment on the rods or other reels havent used them.
  16. St Croix site Selection going quick http://www.stcroixrods.com/shop/catalog/Freshwater-23-1.html
  17. St Croix has sale on Elites I got a 7'6"Med Fast for $130. I'll pair it with a new Supreme XT 30. I guess I'll use it for senko & jigs just thought it was great deal so went for it. What else may it be good for? What Elite you have and what it used for, how you rate it?
  18. Well I broke my Avid twice (once my fault-once not) but still $20 plus $10 for shipping and they took care of me. Thats why since then I have bought 3 more rods of theirs.
  19. Most used lightest is 8' Med-Lt Moderate with 6# Nanofil. I have caught bass with 4'8" UL Mod rod but dont really target them just happen to catch them. Heaviest a 7' Med Fast 20# braid with senko--is that finesse??
  20. Yep I agree its a nice little scale. I weighed a rod with Rapala scale then on my lab's digital scale at work difference was just .073oz.
  21. All mine shows is "view result"
  22. Looking for the "new" CarbonLite was the reason I was on the site then happened to see the Curado.sale.
  23. Havent seen this posted so sorry if Im repeting it. BPS has the CU50E for $99.97 & FREE Shippping I just ordered one. Hope it is as good as all say it is. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__10151_-1_10051_102799
  24. Whoa, I was nearly set on getting the Abu MGX (going for lightness) but this at only .5oz more but $220 less put the brakes on that. Will definately follow this for more info. Ive read good things in the past about the Carbonlites
