  1. I dunno if I should go buy a cheaper Quantum or a Cheaper Pfleuger
  2. I dont own this reel all I know is KVD loves to burn spinner baits with a 7.X:1 ratio
  3. Ok I just thaught about this. I am not buying this by saving up, this is what im gonna ask fore my birthday. So im not paying for it, My B-Day in october tenth so I want to have a Set mind by Semtember first that will give my dad enoough time know what I want. So Like I said I can get the Curado and SX for $130 im gonna get on of those probably so I can spend more on the rod. I was looking at the Boyd Ducketts and Powells I really like how light the Duckett is (2.7 ounces) So im leaning towards that.
  4. I like the Echlon and can get em for $43 and I like the Kinetic and can get it for $85 what should I get?
  5. Ok I have noticed while I have been on this forum that everything is about Daiwa, SHimano and Abu Garcia. I have seen 2 posts about Quantum and Pfleuger reels. Are these lower quality reel or what?
  6. Do yall think the Weight diference between the Curado and the Premier (1.1 ounces) will be noticably heavier?
  7. I think the gear ratio should be fine but it will reel in SUPER slow if you are ust to a 6.X:1 but if it is smooth and nothing is wrong with is than $90 is pretty good. But like Bass-Brat said it will be hard to find parts for.
  8. Only prob is I cant get the Lowriders wholesale. Ok I want a Split-Grip rod, foam or cork handle, and somthing that comes in alot of choices of Lengthes, Actions, and Powers so if I want to I can switch all my rods to these.
  9. X2 You can get better reels Used such as the Carbonlite, Citica and Tierra but if you only have $100 get a Pro Qualifier. But if you want one of the other reels just save up $20 more dollars. Dont buy em used when its only $20 cause then you get proof of purchase and warrantys and all that good stuff
  10. Ok I have norrowed my reel down to a Premier, Curado or SX (if I want something cheaper so I can spend more on my rod. Now I can get the Premier for $180 the SX for $120 and the Curado for $130 I have been looking at the Skeet Reese - $60 and the Veritas - $idk I have heard alot about the Bucoo but don't want a soft rod. Are the Kistler Carbon Steel and Okuma EVX rods light and sensitive? What else is there? I know all my question are probably getting annoying and I'm sorry I just don't want to buy a rod that I'm not gonna like. Thanks 8-)
  11. I only recomended the Vendetta cause it matched his price range other wise I would have not said the Vendetta
  12. You know it doesnt come out untill the first of Semptember, right? But Cabelas has them on pre-order
  13. No one knows for sure but im probably gonna get one so is my cuz. They look really nice and they are suppost to be lighter than carrot stix!!! Here is a TT review >>>http://www.tackletour.com/previewabugarciaveritas.html
  14. The mods are here!!! HIDE!! they cant know about it!
  15. 4.7:1 or 5.1:1 = Crank Baits, 6.2:1 = Everything but mainly plastics 7.1:1 = Spinnerbaits Just get a 6.2:1
  16. Yea it does, for your first rod I would suggest a stiffer one for plastics and any single hook baits. If you want a Vendetta get a Medium cause they are kinda stiff. >>> http://www.***.com/Abu_Garcia_Vendetta_Casting_Rods/descpage-AGVCR.html
  17. Ok if you ask ANYONE your rod and reels are personal preference cause most reels in the same price range will perform about the same but lets get to it. Rod: Because you really want a reel for atleast $100 I would get a Abu Garcia Vendetta within my family (me, my bro and my dad) we own 10 of them. Very strong and sensitive and only $80. Reel: Get a BPS Pro Qualifier BEST reel for $100. Ask SoFlaBassAddict he has 5 of these reels. I have never owned one but my friend has $300 reels and he wants one of these. My mom has the MG version and it is very smooth. I hope this helped
  18. Ok I was pretty mind set on one of the Revos when I just read all the GREAT reviews on the Curado but I also found a Revo SX vs. Curado review on TT and Micro was in it. This post said that the SX is the better reel of the two I also found a Bass Resouce post abt the Premier vs. Curado and this also said the Revo was better. Is this personal preferance or is the Revos just better made reels?
  19. Well I was listening to Bub Tosh (pro puncher/flipper) and he said that he like a Fast with a little more give cause he think when you set the hook really hard that 1 1/2 ounce wheight is opening the fishes mouth. So... I would say a Fast tip, Samuel
  20. I dont hate these reel seats its just that normaly ones or open blank ones feel better to me
