OK I dont use leaders (not yet anyways) but do you actually need a 6-8 foot leader? When I use one I just do Like a 2 foot one and a swivel but what ever you do DO NOT put the swivel through your guides!

Do the leader But the reason you are doing it with the jid and not the swimbait is probably cause you dont reel your jig straight in there fore you arent keeping pressure on the line but with swimbaits there is more fritcion and you reel them straight in (you arent bringing your rod tip up and really in the tensionless slack)

Ok I found flipping and pitching, I already know those techniqes its just for light entrys. I talking about using baits like the wooly hawg and a 1 and 1/2 oz. weight and pitching it into grass. What is that called and how do I do it?

Ok I know im not part of the "knowledgeable" crew but I think you should go with a 1 peice if you can, Alot more choices open up. For that much Money I would go with a Shimano Crucial, they have liftime warrantys
