  1. Hey shimmy, I think he was just adressing Grey Wolf this conversation has gotten kind of mixed up because of quotes.

Man, you just got to be careful sometimes. Some hints would be if you hit a log or something pop it over the log if you can see it, let it drop for a sec then start reeling again you will get a strike this way.. If you can't, you can probably feel for it and just stop the bait, lift your rod up and crank it over. Weeds, I would just reel the bait through. I've caught so many fish on spinnerbaits in the grass it is unreal. What I would do is, when you through it in to the grass, reel it through and once it comes out let it stop for a second and then start cranking again and most of the time you should get a bite.
  3. The vibra-flex's are ok but I do not think they compare at all to terminator T-1s. If you are going to try Booyahs, get the Bassinators, Tandems,Super Shads, or double willows. Recently I complained about the counter strike but, it isn't that bad cause I was able to catch fish on it. But, if you can find Terminator T-1s buy them!!! They are my favorite spinnerbaits and I've caught alot of fish on them. I use both Booyahs and Terminators but, I have a special place in my heart for Terminators. They out peform alot of the competition out there. You do not need to tune them cause of the titanium wire snaps back in place every time. The only problem that you would have to worry about is maybe the split ring coming off but that has only happened to me once out of the many times I have thrown Terminators.
  4. Hey vinny nice fish there man. I want to be able to atleast get half the size you're getting on swim jigs. They are one of those baits that should work but rarely do for me.
  5. I went the time after I messed it up at practice and it was swollen. He xrayed it and nothing was broken but he wanted to cast it because the tendent was inflamed. I asked him not to so he said just tape it and come back the next week. I did yesterday and he said everythings fine but he wants me to come in 2 weeks to see how it is then.
  6. I think the Dr. was over exagerating to begin with. But hey, sorry for starting this thread lets just end it before it gets worse. Thanks for all the advise given though, it was not ignored.
  7. Oh the hand is fine doctor said it healed on its own. Next stop is Pickwick again next month and I think Im 7th or 8th in standings right now. If I'm in the top 6 i get to go to the State tournament.
  8. This past weekend I was in a 2 day tournament at Pickwick and it was nothing great but still ok. First day caught 2 for 4.55. Could of done better but I lost alot of good fish on a carolina rig and also lost one good fish right near the boat ramp. The fish wrapped itself around another boat, then around a post, then around a log in the water and once it got to the boat it came off my lipless crankbait.... I was hurting because of that . Second day I weighed in 5 fish for 5.77. Also could of done better cause I hooked some good fish but again, lost some on carolina rig. But, I was able to weigh in 5 fish which I had never done before. The group of guys I fished with were amazing as always and even after everything still had a good time. Can't wait for the next one. Austin
  9. You fishing Fayette County Bass Club?
  10. Went to the doctor everything is fine I do not need a cast like he thought I did sorry for opening up a can of worms on here. Pun not intended haha. Also tournament went well first tournament that I weighed in 5 fish.
  11. I thought you can't after you open the package?
  12. Ok but I am still confused on how the blade broke?
  13. I'm a big spinnerbait fisherman and a big supporter of Booyah Spinnerbaits. The first spinnerbait fish I ever caught was on a Booyah and it wasn't the last. I have probably 10 Booyahs in my box and I just bought another 2. One of them was a Counter Strike that I noticed had something wierd done to it. The hole on each blade where the clevis or split ring goes was off center. One was far to the right and the other was so far to the left that it snapped off the clevis. It was probably just one that missed quality control but, I would just like anyone else who goes to buy one check and see if this is a problem with others. Austin
  14. As bad as this sounds, the fishing may still be there but the money and time I put in this month for the tournament will not be. I'm getting a cast it just has to wait till Monday. The cast is gonna cause me to be taken out of spring training for football which is gonna be another problem but right now, all practice is doing is making it worse. I understand what you guys are saying and it makes perfect sense but, I have to tough it out just another 3 days.
  15. I got it taped and the swelling is staying down but the way I got it taped I can't move half my hand. Do they make slip on braces or supporters like the ones for your ankle, knee, or writst that covers your hand?
  16. Ok man glad to here.
  17. He is but not till Monday after the Tournament which is this weekend. If he puts me in a cast now,I would be unable to fish at all.
  18. Yea I know I'm just confused on it. The water is dropping, current is moving, and the calarity is probably good. I guess my question really is what color should I be throwing? Seems like I was just making it to complicated.
  19. Hey everyone, I know some of you remember me complaining about my hand about a month ago well.... it actually ended up being something. I was at football practice when I guess I did something to the left side of my left hand that caused it to swell like a balloon. Went to the doctor and found out that i split the tendent between my small finger and ring finger. He wanted to put a cast on me but I had to beg him not to because I have a tournament this weekend. Is there anything that I can do to keep it stabalize while I'm in the tournament? I tried taping it but it doesn't really help much.

  21. Got a tournament coming up on Pickwick and was thinking about trying the chatterbait bite at deep levels. What should I do though? What color would work, what size, what type of trailer, and what type of presentation? I was thinking 1/2 ounce white chartruese with a zoom double tail trailer in chartruese and some what fish it like a swim jig but I'm not sure what would work. Any ideas will be help. Thanks, Austin

Where musicfest was is underwater. You can see Tom Lee Park right from my friends house up on the bluff. Pretty much all of Riverside Dr. is blocked off.
  23. Got a tournament there next weekend, but havn't heard much lately. All I know is that it's dropping water fast and the current is rolling.

Since the Mississippi River is about to crest at 45, every other river is backed up. It's rising quick too. Left for school this morning and the street I take was fine, came home and theres water going across it. I'm confused how I'm getting to school tomorrow if all the roads are flooded. But the real matter is, what about the people whose houses are under water now?
  25. Burnt bearings three and half hours from home and then a flat tire from hitting something while pulling over on the highway.....
