  1. I fish a lot with my brother in law. HE can NOT STAND that I say NOTHING! During the whole bite, hook set, fight and landing... I say NOTHING! He always gets mad because I have a bad habit of swinging em in the boat instead of netting them... We were in Toledo and I had a 5 lb'er on side of the boat before he knew I was hooked up. The look on his face when he saw that hog laying on her side was priceless.
  2. thanks for the info! You guys rock, I appreciate all the tips and help!
  3. St Charles parish checking in here... I fish all the surrounding waters as well. I just joined Bonnet Carre Bassmasters. We have our monthly tourney on the 11th in bayou Black... I havent fished it yet so I am looking forward to it!
  4. That is a healthy lunker there... nice catch.. What did you catch em on?
  5. that stinks! I would get it looked at before I ran it as well... Its not worth risking that lower unit.. IMO.
  6. I bought the boat out of state so I really cant get that dealer to do any any adjustments. Would you think up or down would be the right move? I plan to take it out and tinker with it... the sales rep said the boat was prep'd at Triton and it is in the spot that "they" have gotten the best performance out of.... From what I have read I am going to move it up a 1/2 inch and run it and see what happens.

  10. I would attempt to put the trolling batteries in the front. Under the front deck or even under the front seat... that should give you better balance overall.
  11. Thanks for all the responses. I have read a few things online about chine walk and from what I am reading it seems as though Triton is at the head of the pack with chine walk issues. I love, love, love the boat it fishes well, plenty of space and halls bass! lol I am thinking if I can get into the high 60's with no walk I should be happy. I will try to post a picture if it... its one I took at the dealership... here goes nothing! lol Thanks again.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am from Louisiana and love bass fishing. Its cool down here b/c we have fresh, salt and brackish water so the fishing is always good somewhere! I just bought a new Triton and am looking for some advice and help with my new rig. Owning a boat is not new to me... I have had a bass boat for 15 years now. This is my first high performance boat. So I am a noob to a boat that does 65+! I hope to make some new friends, Vickers
  14. it looks pretty clean. If it doesnt leak, I'd say its worth it.
  15. I bought this boat new about a month ago. I have about 8 hours of drive time on the boat now. It preforms well all the way up to 67-68 MPH. It drives like a Cadillac! At 67-68 it begins to chine walk. Its not really violent, I havent let it get that bad... I have been trimming down or coming off the gas and it stops. Any suggestions on if I should go up or down with the jack plate? It has the factory Tempest 25 pitch prop. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.. the sales rep said the boat should run 72-74... of course I dont really need to go that fast but it would be nice to say I did it.
