Silly bass
Like others mentioned, probably a different fish. Likely was following the first fish and trying to steal it's meal from it. It's very common if you get in a school of them actively feeding.

What strategies/tactics do you use to catch largemouth bass under 3lbs?
A wacky rig catches all different sizes and works great in clear water where there isn't a lot of cover provided it isn't too deep.

Post a photo a day!
All the high water we've had and standing water in our yard all spring, we've got tiny toads, frogs, and tree frogs EVERYWHERE right now. The boys love it.

Thoughts on New KastKing Bassinator
I like my KastKing reels I have, but I can buy a Tatula TW SV for the same price. No way I could talk myself into that at full price.

Sight Fishing a Giant
I think the OP is seeing cruisers, not fish locked on beds. Doesn't mention anything about beds in his post and says it's Prespawn (although I'm not sure where it's still prespawn right now).

Can anybody tell me the name of this unit?
Renosky crippled shad. Long discontinued, WalMart use to carry them. Probably find a few on the Bay still.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I never knew it had them until last year but it certainly does and that is without a doubt one of them. Welcome to the forum.

Rage Menace -- Rage Bug

Whopper Plopper Knock Off
There was a post about them a while ago. I've got a couple and they work pretty well. I actually like to just keep them clear and add hooks, fish them as is.

My biggest fish ever, 4.5 lb largemouth.
That was perhaps the longest fight I've ever seen with a 4.5lb bass on casting gear, looked like she was a heck of a puller.

Sight Fishing a Giant
Lure choice is very important for sight fishing, especially if the fish isn't on a bed because you likely will not get many chances before the fish is onto the fact that something is going off and shut down completely. My #1 bait for casting at fish I can see is a wacky rigged Senko by a mile. Stay back as far as you can, low to the ground if possible, and try not to make a big splash if possible. Casting onto the opposite shoreline and dragging the bait into the water is great if it's an option.

Fly fishing for bass...
It's a pretty fun way to catch them, especially during the summer months when the bugs are thick. Hoppers are a great pattern because pretty much anything will eat them.

ICAST 2019 New Products/Rumors/Wishlist
I have them, and they're great, but they're also pricey to use soley for trailers. Reactions Innovations is the same way with their backwater blue color. That was the great thing about the Havoc baits, they were cheap and durable so cutting them up to use for trailers wasn't a big deal. BBB are affordable and durable a lot like the Havoc line up was, and they've been really effective for me too.

The name actually stems from my line of work.

Post a photo a day!
Went to the drive in my parents, wife, and boys to see Toy Story 4. It was a good time, great weather, and it's nice because the kids can move around a little and don't have to be completely silent the whole time to avoid drawing attention.

How much will you drop on a pair of sneakers?
They're just shoes. If they're comfortable and don't look completely ridiculous, that's all I'm looking for. I think I spent about $50 on the pair I've had for several years now that's the most I've ever spent on footwear that wasn't for work, hunting, or fishing.

Targeting Bass While Walleye Trolling
I've caught a lot of bass snapping spoons while walleye fishing. A heavy head with a paddle tail swimbait will catch them and cover a lot of water too. A C rig with a heavy weight would be another good option.

Strike King Magnum Menace
I've checked multiple times at both our stores and no dice on the Mag Menace yet.

Spinnerbait - Swim Jig - Chatter Type Bait
Swim jigs-grass Bladed jigs-moderate to no grass, stained to muddy water, moderate to no wood cover, 50* water temp or higher Spinnerbaits-Moderate to no grass, clear to muddy water, all but the thickest wood cover, 42* or higher water temp. Obviously exceptions, but those are my very basic guidelines that start my decision making process.

ICAST 2019 New Products/Rumors/Wishlist
Just keep making stuff in solid blue and offering it in bulk packs. I've got my 100pk of Yomamas in sapphire blue that never leaves the boat. Big contributor to my first tournament win of the year Thursday night too. Quickly tearing through my stockpile of blue Devil's Spears and Pitbosses I use on my solid blue bladed jigs, going to need a replacement soon and not many options out there in solid blue.

New SK Ned rig plastics!
Nobody needs any of those redbug ned bugs (that has a nice ring to it ?), just leave those on the shelves, they won't be any good anyhow.

Rage Menace -- Rage Bug
The bug is bulkier and has more flappers. The Menace is by far more productive for me than the bug.
