The watermelon/black flake kreature is the only thing I have been able to get a bite on here on KY Lake and Barkley here lately!

Sammy 100 in aurora/black, cavitron buzzbait in black with red blade, cane toads & horny toads in the thick stuff, and a spro bronze eye when I can't afford to go through 3 or 4 bags of toads in one day

I am thinking about getting a couple of these and was wondering what was the best stinger hook and how do you rig it. Thanks for any input!

I just bought one from basspro today, it sounded like a really neat crankbait. Anybody ever use one before? I got it in MS American shad color, my favorite cover all water conditions color.

I know this'll raise a fuss....but I'll say it anyway. This was our dinner on day 2, we ran outta steak. First time I had ever had smallmouth and it was delicious!!! I am normally a strict C&R angler but I eat a few here and there as long as they ain't on bed. This was a great weekend given that there was a horrible cold front and rain all weekend.

Me n' BassinSergeant went to Kentucky Lake a couple weeks ago and I am finally puttin up this post cuz I got the pics. We caught 74 bass over three days and a few nice ones. Here's the pics.

I'll be up on Kentucky Lake for the whole weekend of the 13th. I hope that the smallies come back in on the pea gravel by then since the weather seems to be getting back to normal by then. So 65 degrees...I have a couple good spots down below the 68 bridge that I think will be pretty good for hittin the pea gravel. Thanks for the heads up ABA!

I totally agree with Ain Texan. Not just the sickle hooks, but all of the Matzuo hooks seem to bend very easily. I used a couple of their wide gap hooks for smaller tubes and even a dink can bend these things. Complete waste of money! Go with the Gammies or Owners as Texan said. Hell, even Eagle Claw would be better than those! ;D

At what water temp do smallies spawn at? Im from Florida originally and live up in Kentucky noe so I am still kinda new to catchin the bronzebacks. Thanks!

The RC 1.5 is my favorite but my Bagley's Honey B is catching up quick. Also love the square A's from bomber. IMO they are a steal at $1.99 and I have caught boat loads of fish on them.

I gotta say, I like the ratlesnake floaters...cheap too!

I made a post about similar issues about a week ago. It makes me sick that most fishing shows on these days are nothing but a 30minute infomercial. You gotta check out the bass pros sometime. IMO it's the best show going right now.

I finally got some of this line since I have heard nothing but good things about it and I am kinda 50/50 on it. It's strong, yeah, but for me it seems really stiff and bad with memory. Anybody have the same issues with this line??

Is anybody else sick of how most of the shows on these days end up being 30minutes of some pro or another plugging a lure company for half an hour??? What happened to all the good shows that had useful information? I was watching proteam journal with chad brauer and was counting how many times he and greg hackney said "red-eye shad". I quit at 20 and wondered if these guys had trained with Roland Martin (the world's worst). I just felt like venting guys, sorry for the rant.

Anybody ever used any of the persuader lures crankbaits? I have a 200series on the way and can't wait to throw it this spring. I was just wanting to know if anybody has fished one before and how they liked them. Thanks!
