  1. Gator pup caught my personal best at the time TB bass, 8.5. It sure looked like a small snack for her in that big mouth!! The centipedes carolina rigged used to put fish in the boat too!! Catt, when do the bass start their migration toward shallower water? Is it dependent on water temp, longer days, or some other factor like moon phase? Or all of the above? Thanks, Ronnie
  2. What are your go to colors in the jig and crawworm? Ronnie
  3. No one fishing lately? I'd have thought there'd be some reports from those 70 degree days. I get home from offshore wednesday, and i'll probably be up there around the 5th or so. Hopefully there will be a few warm days to make the fish a little active. Ronnie
  4. For a tx rig, maybe try pegging your weight, if you aren't doing so already. Maybe go a little lighter on the weight. I was gonna say crankbait it, but if you are hanging up tx rigs, you're sure to hang up the treble hooks. Good luck, Ronnie
  5. Another word of caution of the low water. The stumps lining channels are a few feet high and a good resting spot for a lot of big birds. I hit a Blue Heron with my external GPS antenna, that sticks up maybe 2" above my console windshield, while doing maybe 60 mph right at dark. When I saw the bird, it was over my front deck and I ducked down and the last I saw of it was right at the windshield. It's beak looked like it was 2 foot long at that moment!!! Funny it didn't take out my rear 42" running light. RonnieF
  6. Thanks for the reply Jack. Maybe it has something to do with that pipline. The coordinates I posted were in San Miguel, just north of where 1215 hits the water. With the water so low, it was a stump field where I saw the reflective dots. I get in from offshore this wednesday, and should be up there friday. If I find out what they are, I'll let y'all know. Ronnie
  7. Catt, I was talking about the reflective things while in the satellite mode. There are some on the NW side of Bug Island also. I guess the next time up there, i'll just have to motor over and check them out. Ronnie
  8. Catt, or someone in the know. Question for you. N 31.54805 W 93.71295 What are these things that show up? Thanks, Ronnie
  9. My better half is a manager at Academy. Love that place!! Love the H2O baits too. I just picked up 10 of the square bill (forgot the model) the other day. It sucks when you break part of a bill of the only one in a certain color the fish like!! Great hooks and finish on them.
  10. Good luck JBF. I'll be there the following week/weekend after i get in from offshore!!
  11. What time are y'all getting together and where? I have to go to Leesville and drop off a Penske rental truck that morning, but would sure like to meet you guys. Ronnie
  12. A few weeks ago I did well on the Mermentau river on points. That river was messed up by the hurricanes also. Ronnie
  13. Is that color redbug? I don't think I've ever come across that type of ringworm(?). Ronnie
  14. Great. I've spent a few years fishing around the Indian Mounds, since I have a camper at Turtle Beach. But I'm getting a camp on San Miguel and will have to invest some time learning this new area. Do bass use roadbeds in the fall, like they do in the spring? Catt, I saw you fished SW La. also. So did I, from the Big Burns, Streeter's canal, Lac. pool, and Miami on the east side of Grand Lake. Thanks, Ronnie
  15. Thanks Catt. Do y'all ever discuss areas north of pendleton bridge? Ronnie
  16. Hello everyone. I've been lurking and soaking up all of the info you guys have given so freely. Thank you for helping someone that's still trying learn Toledo Bend. Lots of great info here. Ronnie
