Sealing Up Hollow Body Frogs
My best day of frog fishing this year I was using a popping frog that had an 1 1/2" slice right down the belly of it. The hook would fall out if I got caught up in heavier weeds or small branches, and pulled it free. The fish didn't care, and actually with that big of a hole in it, the water would just run right out. lol I finally cut it off when I could not keep the hook upright in the frog anymore.

Open Letter To Boat Fisherman
The only time I come barging in on shore fishermen is when they are fishing in the immediate boat launch area, often times with a posted sign that says no fishing.

Attica Reservoir Ny
Fishing the Attica Reservoir is for Attica residents only. I lived in Attica for two years and obtained the permit each of those two years. I don't remember if you could have a guest or not. I think I only remember catching one largemouth in those two years, but I had a couple memorable smallmouth days in a canoe. Used to fish from shore in the fall when the water was low and the small pike would play ping pong with a spook. lol I'd love to spend more time on it now..............

Your Opinion...when Are The Worst Times To Use Braid?
My deep cranking success rate dramatically increased once I started using straight braid. I've switched over to braid for all topwater as well, which is mainly Super Spooks and Zell Pops (along with frogs). I am not buying into the braid not being good for treble hooked baits thing. I am still all flouro for all my flipping and pitching though, but that is just what is most comfortable for me.

What Line For Crankbaits
An oddball here, I have used 30 pound Spiderwire Invisi-braid for the last three years. No leader.
-
Managing Fluoro
Setting the hook on a good fish usually straightens the line nicely for me.

Self-Cinch Clips On Ds Weights
I actually have a lot better success keeping the weights on 4 to 8 pound test than I do on 17 pound test. I have to tie the cheater knot on the heavy line, not that I use heavy line for dropshotting very often

Fishing Docks As A Co-Angler
He was on Chautauqua, hardly any permanent docks there, if any. Was there on Saturday for our first club tournament. Still a slow bite but better than the previous weekend from what everyone has been saying.

Craziest Things Caught On A Frog Or Other Lure
I have caught several weird things over the years, some memorable and some probably forgotten about. One of the more memorable things was a rock of all things. Doesn't seem too strange, but I was dragging tubes on a Western New York three days after Christmas and the action was a little slow to say the least. Also, it came out of 45 feet of water and weighed 4.3 pounds and was about twice the size of a softball. For a hook to stay in that rock for so long without pulling out was kinda amazing. Also, I just couldn't reel it in. The reel just wouldn't handle that kind of dead weight (try it sometime, you'll see what I mean) so I had to carefully pull the rod up 4 or 5 feet, then drop the rod and reel up the slack quickly at the same time stopped the falling rock again. Took a while to get it to the surface and when It got close I loudly called for the net. lol Got it scooped up and lots of cheering and high fiving commenced. Like I said, it was during a time when the water is usually frozen around here, so we'll take any excitement we can get. That was ten years ago and still have the rock to this day.

Craziest Things Caught On A Frog Or Other Lure
It didn't weird me out too much. I always wondered the story behind it, who he was and why he was there. I tried to keep with the news for a while, but the only thing I saw was a brief blurp saying a fisherman discovered a body on such and such day. Nothing more.

Craziest Things Caught On A Frog Or Other Lure
I discovered a dead body on the Lower Niagara River several years back. Luckily I identified what it was before I casted to it. He was a floater, and was pinned up against the bank where I was chucking a spinnerbait too while drifting along. I was prefishing for a tournament, and that killed about an hour before the Coast Guard showed up and told me I was free to leave. I was the third person in my club to discover a body on that river over several years, so apparently, it's a good place to go if you are looking for one.

That Stupid Auction Site
Another tip is to add a few cents to your max bid. If you are willing to pay $80 for something, put a bid in for $80.03. I don't know how many auctions I have won using that little tactic.
-
That Stupid Auction Site
Auctionsniper.com is what I use. I think it is like a 25¢ fee if you end up winning the auction. No big deal. I have it set up to bid with 4 seconds to go. The way I look at it you are showing an item for 6 days, 23 hours and 45 minutes. The last 15 minutes the real bidding begins.

Shakey Hands While Fishing...nerves?
Learn to control it. I went to college (electronics) with a guy who was one of the shakiest people I ever knew, but man could he make perfect solder connections on tiny circuit boards.

2 Bass 1 Lure
Once with smallmouth and once with largemouth. The smallies were just little 12-13 inchers. The largemouth were a little bigger with a 1.5 pounder on one hook and a 2 pounder on the other. This happened somewhere around 1990-91 or so on a HighRoller topwater bait.

Not me, but my buddy sent me this picture last week. Said the fight was OK, but live release was an adventure. lol

Considering A Team Tournament League
General rule of thumb around here is the non-boater pays the entry. That usually covers the gas, etc. for the boater. If the entry is much more than $60 or so, then the boater might have to kick in some for the entry also so it isn't so off balanced..

What A Long Day
Raining pretty good here right now. We are trimming out a small remodeling job we have going on, decided to work a little longer yesterday because our cutting operation is outside and we knew what it was going to do today. Gonna have to bring the EZ Up tent today for what little we have to finish up cutting wise.
