  1. Love them, good quality. Cheap. Work. A friend of mine burned through about 4 pack of their craws on a shakeyhead skipping docks this summer. Clancy W

Skeet Reese Honeycomb Fluke/Finess (Shimano Caenen) Skeet Reese Honeycomb Finess Tube Jig (Shimano Sahara) Clancy W
  3. Well I'v had some luck with a cast net.... ;D ;D Clancy W
  4. Wow I am so incredibly jealous of your location. Its been snowing for the past 5 days up here in PA. Well were not totally not affected by cold weater....gonna get down in the teens tonight. However we have sevral power plant lakes that run all year long so the water is always warmer. Makes great fishing lakes. When its freezing out side they stack up in the warm water intake and when its pushing 100 degrees outside they stack up in the cold water intake. Not small fish eather....average fish at one of the lakes is 3-5lbs. Clancy W
  5. Thats the box I use. Got it on sale at academy for 20$. It will hold a ton of tackle, and im slowly coverting to the falcon fto boxes and by my guesses it will hold about 8. The front will hold a good amount of plastics, but if I'm taking more plastics, I put them in a worm bag and clip it onto the bag. Clancy W
  6. I have the H20 Mettle Reel in 6:3:1 and I use it on my cranking stick. Verry good reel for the price. Didnt know that they made rods. As far as their baits, never had a problem with any of their baits. However their frogs dont float. And thier line is crap. It has memory before it comes off the spool. I like their hooks because you can buy a 25 pack for 3 or 4$. Havent tried their tungsten weights. Clancy W
  7. Nice bass! Water temp in central texas is about 50-56 depending on the day on non power-plant lakes. Now the power-plant lakes i would bet are anywhere from 60- maybe ( and thats a BIG maybe) even 70 if your in the main discharge and it hasent been super cold the last few days. Clancy W
  8. Sweet Beaver in Big Texan or Delicious Big Texan: Delicious: http://www.***.com/Reaction_Innovations_Sweet_Beaver_420_10pk/descpage-RISB.html Clancy W
  9. Almost that time for bass to start spwning on some of our lakes. Whats yalls favorite thing to throw on a bed? I think this year I will be using a red/black jig. Clancy W
  10. One of these on 65lb braid will solve your problems. http://www.***.com/Spro_Dean_Rojas_Bronzeye_Frog_65/descpage-SPBF.html#multiview Clancy W
  11. That was my views on the reels also. Why pay 100 when i can pay less and get a caenan/sahara. Or pay 20$ more and get a citica. Clancy W
  12. Well if your going by size of fish then its not really fair because some people live in areas where the growiing season isint very long. And others live in places whern bass can sometimes grow all 12 months. Btw, record fish on Falcon was cought recently.....15.63 I think. Clancy W
  13. I agree, his reels seem like crap to me. I use 3 shimano, a pennical, a phuger and a h20. Has anyone used the phluger presidant reel? Iv had it for about 4 or 5 years i think and it wokd like a champ. Its not a shimano....but gets the job done. Thanks for everyones opinion. Again, yes I know there are better rods out there. However, like Evans said, I enjoy having one brand of rods. I will be buying the 7' 6" honeycomb jig rod after I spend some $$$ on baits form TW. Clancy W
  14. Saw a video where a pro (don't rember name) set the hook on a fish and had his rod jerked out of his hand. Calmly he picked up another rod and said "well I wanted to change baits anyway" Clancy W
  15. Only email companies that make products you use. For example, I'm not going to email Vicious because I've had nothing but bad experiences using their line. Clancy W
  16. I have the Senko/Toad rod and have used it to pull many fish out of heavy grass while flipping. However Im using it more as a everything rod. I like the way the rods fit in my hand and they all balance just right. Color also dosent matter to me. Since the color of my rod dose not affect the way I catch fish then I have no problem with it. I have 2 of the new honeycomb rods. Both of them are finess rods, one baitcaster and one spinning. They have alot of tip but a good backbone to haul in a fish. I dont swing my fish in the boat cuz rods were not made to to that. As said before, they dont break the bank and I would rather be able to fish more ways by having several diffrent rods than having two or three expensive rods. Clancy W
  17. Yup, however there are several ones that can be used as a flipping stick. Clancy W
  18. Haha well yellow really stands out Im looking at buying the cranking stick and one of the flipping rods but couldnt decide on which. I like the 7' one because I think the 7' 10" is just to big. Clancy W
  19. Any idea when the new season of UMF is coming on? Clancy W
  20. 1. I have 3 allready and I love all of them. 2. Academy will take anything back with a reciet. Clancy W
  21. I was thinking the 7' 6" honeycomb heavy cover. I have two other honeycomb rods and they are very light. Clancy W
  22. Hi all, I am looking at geeting a new fliping stick and which skeet reese would yall recomend? I dont want any other brand of rods. I know that they make a lot more than TW carries. Clancy W
  23. Carry some sizors or a sharp knife. When you get hung up it works good. Clancy W
  24. Which skeet reese rod is that in the second picture? Clancy W
