What steps should I take?
For all you guys that have fished the BASS opens, what skills are critical to have before entering your first Opens tournament. I have been in 15 bass tournaments locally and have been competing in American bass anglers tournaments and currently have a 7th and an 8th place finish and I am joining a bass club. I plan on waiting a year to refine my skills and get reay and save up to fish 5 events in 2012.

Japanese Bass fishing techniques
Has anyone ever tried lures made by Japanese lure designers such as Seiji Kato who invented lures such as the Jackall TN60 and lures such as "Octopus Flick-Shake." It's three wacky-rigged worms on a single hook, or using two flick shake like a cross at one time because it for volume up and appeal up. Or has anyone ever tried the sasuteki (or "Okeechobee") rig or a PD-Chopper/Ammonite-Shad combo

Suggestions
Does anyone have any suggestions for fishing old, submerged bridge pilings in 3-5 feet of water that is pretty clear with some current mixed in near a creek channel under a small train bridge, I have managed to catch a 2 and a half pounder in this area with a green pumpkin speed craw and another 10 incher, but thats it. Its on the potomac river. The day I was fishing there the water temp was 57 degrees and we hit the spot during, and right after high tide. There was some sand on the bottom and standing, submerged timber was every where, my partner managed to catch one keeper on a senko, The guy that told me about this spot was there 2 weeks earlier and caught 20 pounds easy on the same lure I was using and he said the bass were stacked up. This was in a creek on the potomac
