  1. I bought this from Daves tournament tackle at one of there shows. But now that I think of it he may be pouring his own jig heads.
  2. I have been fishing this swim jig allot! I would like to start buying the heads myself and making them. Does anyone know where I can get this exact head from?
  3. Thanks for all the great words! I do make a 4" worm I will post some photos of it in the bluegill color soon.
  4. Below are a few new colors I have been working on. The shaky head worm is a 8" worm in a bluegill color with trick flake. The 6" hook tail worms are in Good Monring Green, Tazer Blue, Copper BlueGill.
  5. All of them look great! I love the purple tint in the first one.
  6. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good article on fishing Buck Brush? What size weight do most of you use? I like a 1/4 or 5/16.
  7. I think everyone pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one. But Im going to throw a few things in as well. Confidence plays a major role, because if you think you can’t or won’t, most of the time you won’t! One thing I try hard to do is not let the other person in the boat get in my head. Who cares what they are catching them on, fish how you feel comfortable fishing and stay in your own zone. (Don’t get me wrong if the other guy in the boat starts catching 4 to my one on different bait, it’s getting tied on by me) Sometimes you can trick yourself into thinking there is no fish where you just casted and you will not be as alert a feel a soft pick up. Think about it there is no need to make the cast if you don’t think a fish will be there in the first place. And always keep in mind that there might be something down there that you can’t see, that may be holding a fish. So always think you are going to get bit even though you aren’t… I learned a good lesson in confidence the last time I went out, I was fishing as a non-boater and had no faith in the area we were fishing. I was thinking the water was to clear and we were too close to be pitching into the cover, I thought we spooked all the fish away. I felt like I could see the fish if they were there, because of how clear it was. I was wrong and because I didn’t have the confidence when I would pitch into the brush I knew I wasn’t going to get bit before I even put it in there. This is the worst thing you can do! On the other hand the next day I pulled it together and out fished my boater. I told myself if I’m going to catch fish I have to get in the zone and skip this bait farther and lighter since I’m fishing docks that he has already casted under. It worked I put a lure on I knew I could get back further then he was skipping and I caught some nice fish. Keep your confidence up! With confidence you can achieve so many things in life. Fear will destroy and consume a person’s mind rotting like a cavity, if you let it take control of you.
  8. I was interested in how many people throw solid black 90% of the time when it comes to soft plastics in both dark and clear waters? If you are one of these people who throw black 90% of the time do you feel once you stopped changing colors often and put your confidence in one color being black your catch rate increased?
  9. Love that first little dude! (All them look great!)
  10. Thanks, I had to clean all of my conversations out. I should be able to get PM's now.
  11. Thanks for the information. Can you try and send me a PM backwater, not sure why its not working thanks.
  12. Does amnyone on here tie this jig or know of a place I can buy this head at and make my own? Im looking for this exact jig, not something like it. Thanks!
  13. Or the most common minnows? I did some research but couldnt find much... Thanks!
  14. Those look great!
  15. I like to throw a wacky rig on just about everything, but I really like to skip it as far as I can into the high water/flood and just slowly pull it out so the worm bends on the pull and glides just under the water. They cant stand this in the spring! Zoom trick worm works great.
  16. What is the point of fishing with all of this High-Tec stuff on the market? How can you compare the old tourny fishing records to the new guys who are using stuff like this!? Before you know it there will be a motor that chucks fish in your boat as you move from one spot to another. The HydroWave Electronic Feeding Simulator is currently available for pre-order - and expected to arrive by early-Summer.* *Arrival dates are supplied by the manufacturer and are subject to change. Used by 4-time Bassmaster Classic Champion, Kevin Van Dam, and top professional bass angler, Jeff Kriet in the 2011 Bassmaster Classic on the Louisiana Delta, as well as for the entire 2011 BASS Elite Series Tour. Van Dam and Kriet are actually partners in HydroWave and were involved in its testing and design. The easy-to-install and user-friendly HydroWave is an Electronic Feeding Stimulator based on the reactive senses of bass and other predatory fish. Delivering the latest in patented, sound-emitting technology, it effectively imitates the audible underwater sounds of baitfish and fish-feeding activities. Research has proven these sounds stimulate feeding impulses in game fish. The Tactile Sound Transmissions emitted by HydroWave's finely-tuned amplifiers are different from ordinary sounds because they are the sounds and vibrations that you can actually feel. Tactile sounds are what fish respond to. The unit emits sound waves that predatory fish feel, hear and sense as natural baitfish activities - to "ignite a feeding frenzy." Biologists have long known fish hear and sense prey through a complex system that includes sound, vibration and pressure waves. The presence of bait along with other feeding fish is what elicits a response, and that is not triggered by sound alone. You must have all the ingredients pressure, vibration and sound combined in the right frequency to stimulate a feeding response. The concept of using sound to excite fish is nothing new. Reports of tribesmen slapping the water, striper fishermen revving their outboards and others using various electronic contraptions as ways to attract and activate fish have been talked about in fishing circles for years upon years. The HydroWave takes this concept to a whole new level. All of the sounds and sound loops come programmed into the unit's software. There is no loading of programs and/or sounds required. Operation is truly a pick and play procedure. The actual HydroWave unit features a durable injection-molded housing that is 100-percent waterproof. Extensive testing was conducted to ensure the housing and electrical components would withstand the constant pounding of rough boating conditions. It also mounts easily on the boat's bow area with a bracket or Velcro, which are both included. (Optional transom-mount available through HydroWave) The Hydrowave speaker mounts on the underside of the trolling motor's lower unit, fitting all models of trolling motors (clamp included). The speaker is multi-directional so it doesn't matter which way the trolling motor is pointed, and it snugs up smoothly against the unit for a perfect, hydrodynamic fit. Operates on a 12-volt power supply. "I've always paid attention as to how fish seem to feed and respond to each other while in competition for food. Like most bass fishermen who spend a lot of time on the water, I've witnessed situations where a school could be fired up by getting just one fish to bite. Igniting those kinds of flurries during a tournament day can be a huge advantage. HydroWave is about providing that stimulus for that first response to get things going." - Kevin Van Dam, 4-time Bassmaster Classic Champion
  17. I know this has been posted a few times, but it seems as if no one really has an answer. I just thought I would give it one more try. Im looking for a place to buy bulk tungsten weights (insert free). Does anyone know of a web-site that does this? If not how about shaky heads in bulk? Thanks!
  18. Thanks for all the great words! In the first photo they are 4 inches long.
  19. I always use a spot remover head with the springlock when shaky head fishing but I dont like the flat bottom on them when skipping docks. What do all of you use when skipping docks? Im thinking about using a small style football head, there is something I dont like about the round heads, but Im thinking they will probally skip best.
  20. Does anyone have a sample of the Zoom Color: (080 Cinnamon Black Special Distributor Color) that they could send me (I only need one). If so I will send you a few samples of my custom hand poured baits. I used this color a while ago and would like to try and match it. Thanks!
  21. Thank you Dman and thank you for the great words Sam!
  22. I have been busy pouring so I took a few photos of what I did in the past day or so. A few custom colors and few classic colors.
