Hey muudy, no doubt McCarver is a knowledgabe baseball guy. I just wish he would hush and let me watch the game at times. I shoud not complain about color guys-Mike Shannon for the Cards is a mess, even when he's sober Bob Costas is the best play-by play guy in my opinion. Joe Buck is a close second. Tonight's game should be fun. May the best team win-as long it is the one in white and red! GO CARDS ;D ;D ;D

McCarver has a tendency to get on my nerves, but now that you mention it I'm liking him better. ;D ;D

I think it would be a great story for the Cards to win it all this year as the underdog. We haven't had much sucess as the favorite. :-? With that said, Detroit looks like a champion. I love this time of year-baseball at its best. 8-)

I almost responded a couple of times, but was afraid to offend. I couldn't agree more with you. There are some funny posibilities though.

I can't tell you all how much I would like to be a part of this, but health and finances will not allow. I sure look forward to hearing about it. Lake Fork may never be the same. A couple of you will need to make sure your passports are current, and some language training may be needed. ;D

I think you make a good case for Jeter. He is a great player and leader, but I would take Pujos over him. He a great player, and a good example on and off the field. He is a stand-up family man and gives back a lot to the St. Louis area. I really like the guy. Just my .02

bassmasta7 I think your right about the extra day. I think Detroit is the team to beat whether we get there or the Mets. Man do they look impresive. I will support the Mets if they get past us; I am a National League fan, although Leyland is a stand-up guy. The A's are making it exciting in the ninth-not enough.

Muddy that would be sweet. Cards or Mets, Detroit will be a handful. They sure looked good tonight.

FIN-S-R I said at the start of this thread that I like your idea. What I like even better, after reading your responses to the feedback, is your attitude. Your ability to take crtical input graciously will go far in helping you in your work.

Muddy_man I hope it's a good series. The "experts" have all conceeded the series to the Mets, but the Cards should not be taken lightly-just ask the Padres. Our starting pitching (after Carpenter ) is a real question, and ya'll have a potent lineup, but we still have a shot. Speaking of shots, if Marquis starts you better keep that hard-hat close by-someone could get killed. ;D
