Did any one else watch this the other night on the military channel. Seemed pretty decent to me some of the parts were cheesey but I liked it seeing the history of the SMG starting with the good ole Tommy gun.

I looked at some pics of some trees and I'm thinking just some flat stock or angle with paddles with a T or L shape on the end set into some pipe would be simple and easy.

Has anyone here made dueling trees befor. I'm making some simple spinner/gongs for long range shooting with the bigger guns so I have visual and audible feedback. However I'm looking to make a dueling tree for like .22s and pistol rounds. I was thinking just take some square stock and notch out ever 6" or so like a triangle so it forms a hump then make the target paddles with a bushing and then just drop some round stock threw the center pinning the paddles in. The ony thing I'm worried about is not enough resistance like the paddle will just flop all over. Idk if I can add a spring I haven't really thought of a way to do that. In my head I think this will work I just gotta get threw the torch and onto the metal and welder.

My wife wants a girl bad because she's surround by guys she try's to make the youngest jack girlie but I don't allow it. Even when I'm not home all she hears is hunting and fishing stories from Noah our 2.5 year old he's got the craziest imagination he's always "buck hunting" all day every day it gets old but it's funny some times. Jack our youngest can't fall asleep at night till I go into the bed room and put the five finger death punch station on pandora to get hi To sleep lol same goes for the car he fusses put some heavy music on and he's out or at least calmed down.

I'd like to have a girl but my 2 boys got me busy now if it's not one it's the other constantly go go go. My boys are only 2.5 and 4months the oldest I swear he thinks he's 18 he's got an attitude of one and a mouth the things he says. He was running around last night calling people dill dews after kaylie asked her little question.

Iv had them attack me but I deserved it.............. There quick and baseball bats get chomped with ease. They don't like to be poked

Glad I have two boys and not girls. I was at my brother in laws and the girls were talking and some things came up and my little 10 year old niece over heard and next thing ya know she was at the bar asking what a certain toy was. My brother in law flipped and I had to step in and told her it's a bread you eat befor going to bed with your wife or husband.

I just picked a box up just gotta re zero my gun hopefully it likes the cci it's the same grain and velocity. I usually shoot hornady out of all my guns and they all like it. Idk if it's the guns or just mental with my self but all my guns shoot sub moa right off the bat outa the box with hornady factory ammo so I never try any thing else. How do you like the CCI for hunting does it dispatch them quick everything I shot with the vmax were done never had a crawl off or run away.

That's on my issued weapon that WAS set up for Afghanistan not much CQC there. Now were going to Kuwait so idk how I'll have it set up maybe the same maybe a CCO I won't know till I have a warm and fuzzy for what we will be doing. Home defense wise my wife wanted to use my .17 and I laughed at her and told her to use my 20ga because I don't have a 12. Ill leave the short slug barrel on it and leave her a box of cheap bird shot it will do the job if anything ever happend well I'm gone.

I have alot of gadgets for my M4 almost none are mounted just my PEQ15 and ACOG the rest I can put on if needed. another thing people don't realize with all this "cool" gear is the added weight on your muzzle end makin it hard or difficult to hold up for any period of time plus it throws your accuracy off but CQC u generally hit what your pointing at anyways.

How did u polish the internals I thought of doing this this morning actually befor reading ur post I had it bouncing around up there. I thought of just getting some valve lapping compound from work and using that on a rag or small buffer.

I was reading about that scope yesterday on chuckhawks. The 17 is very explosive and shallow especially the hornady vmax however I'm thinking of switching to cci TNT for two reasons. One is it's available at walmart and hornady isn't it's a hour drive to et a box. Two in reviews it gets much better penetration.

My brother in law was introduced to maki plastics last year on the ice me and his budy were kicking his arse catching fish ever few seconds just hundreds and he couldn't buy a bite we all were using live bait till an old timer gave Chad a MAKI the one that looks like a frog foot and he went from 10 fish all day to slamming as much ad we were with live.

Do you think smallies stay in rivers that are only 5ft or migrate to the lake at the end of the river. During spring, summer and fall I catch em but never tried in the winter.

This will be used for squirrels out to 200+ and fox and coyotes up close and I'm still not sure on taking a yote with it though iv seen it done and done it with a .22lr im just still note sure though it would have to be a head shot. It has a bushnell 3x9x32 on it now but I like the compensator of the BSA. I'm not sure if any other company makes a scope for .17hmr.

This was the first time it happend sense we have had kids 2.5 years now not a every week occurrence. I love where I live we joke it a ink spotch on the map nothing but cows and corn fields. There's a few small stores that's it besides walmart seriously surrounded by farm land for miles.

A recent thread got me thinking bout this again but does anyone have one of these scopes or any experience with one. I'd like it for my marlin .17hmr but BSA is kinda a low end scope and you get what you payfor with optics generally but it's just a .17 so no recoil to deal with but what about clarity in the scope.

No he wasn't sitting in poop a big part of it was also the fact there wasn't any to get the wife threw the day well I was at work.normally if she runs out she will go get stuff but I had the truck for the day cuz we took my car off the road.

Yeah idk what's up with chucks but I hit a rabbit with it and well there wasn't much left but I let it be a warning to stay away from my garden lol

Yeah me too I shoot it out of every gun I own exept my .22s the .243 gets expensive quick but .17hmr ammo has come down alot but I have a hard time finding it hell any hornady ammo is hard to track down around here for my calibers.
